So basically a qc pictures from the seller aee useless?
What's the purpose of having the chance to review the product before it's shipped?
A, I covered my back protocol?
Yeah we know what we are getting into with a rep, but QC doesn't mean an exact copy but a double check of a watch that is being replicated to match to try to look a Gen.
So should I accept a watch with an uneven crystal, a crooked bezel, a uncentered pearl just because.
I believe there are some tolerances and variables that need to be considered but.
I really think this watch looks good, and I was trying to share my experience with the whole transaction and trying to get opinions from people who have seen/owned more of these watches than I have.
This post sums it up nicely, imo:
Again - maybe it is hard to understand: QC pictures are there to find manufacturing defects. Not issues with the watch.
Crooked printing? Misaligned dial? Ok.
"Does this watch look good" and post all QC pics? -> might earn you a warning or a nuke.
So no, if there are clear manufacturing defects (misaligned bezel, uneven crystal, etc) and it's going to bother you/sour the purchase for you, then you should reject the watch and have your TD source a new one.
I think what people are getting at is that the decision doesn't really require input from anyone else, it is
your watch and you're the only one who has the final say on whether or not it's acceptable to you. Posting the pictures here for others to nit pick to death doesn't do anyone any good, because it's not their purchase and they don't have to live with it.
The QC pics are a courtesy offered to you in order to confirm that A) it is indeed the correct watch, and B) that there are no obvious defects. Beyond that, it's in your hands, so if the watch looks good - accept it. If you think there's an issue, ask for an additional picture to confirm or you can roll the dice on the TD having alternative pieces available to offer you and flat out reject the watch.
In this game research is
everything and you should do your homework on any watch you're looking to purchase ahead of time. Once you know what the issues are, look for them in your QC pics and make your judgement accordingly.
edit: Goddamn, I'm slow on the draw. Oh well, what they said ^^.
