what if someone gonna reply here saying the bezel is too glossy, pearl too big...are you gonna reject this watch?

So basically a qc pictures from the seller aee useless?

What's the purpose of having the chance to review the product before it's shipped?

Is it a, I covered my back protocol?

Yeah we know what we are getting into with a rep, but QC doesn't mean an exact copy but a double check of a watch that is being replicated to match to try to look a Gen.

So should I accept a watch with an uneven crystal, a crooked bezel, a uncentered pearl just because?

I believe there are some tolerances and variables that need to be considered.

I really think this watch looks good, and I was trying to share my experience with the whole transaction and trying to get opinions from people who have seen/owned more of these watches than I have.

^^^+1 and 100% agree on this.

QC photos is really only for your own checking of the watch you are getting, if anyone would like to share their new watches with us, we love only wristshots.

I suggest banned posting of QC photos altogether no matter the watch have issue or not. Anyone who have done enough homework of the watch that they are getting will know what to look out for.

Don't agree with your suggestion. But thanks for the input.

Do not get worked up, this thread is going into the wrong direction.

QC pics are useful period. If a member doesn't need them, fine. Skip that step, but don't speak for the others.

The only question is whether they need to be posted or not. Those that post their QCs needlessly, take flak.

You are 100% wrong. Before you order a watch, you should already be aware of what issues are common flaws with that model. How do you find that out ? Try reading the countless threads and pictorials the members do AFTER receiving it. It's mean to share what you will be expecting from that watch. Specially with a model like this. It has been discussed endlessly.

If you have a number that has fallen off, that is a legitamate QC issue. A misaligned pearl is not. Why ? it's a common flaw with pretty much every rep ever made. Are you going to keep rejecting watches for 4 weeks ? Use your head.

QC pics are for YOU. Not us. If they were for us, the dealers would have a QC sub section in their part of the forum. They would post your pics with the order number for everyone to see. They email them to you so you can take a quick scan and make sure they are sending you the correct watch. It's not meant for you to blow them up in macro mode and start disecting the grooves in the dial, etc.

The problem is that many people have become lazy. They refuse to do the needed research. They want to be spoon fed everything. If you have a QC issue that you are not sure about, email the dealer, or pm a member that may have a better idea. The one thing you don't do is plater the pics everywhere for a circle jerk.

They are for you to see the product you are buying. That's it not for 60,000+ people to approve how you spend your money.

This post sums it up nicely, imo:

Again - maybe it is hard to understand: QC pictures are there to find manufacturing defects. Not issues with the watch.

Crooked printing? Misaligned dial? Ok.
"Does this watch look good" and post all QC pics? -> might earn you a warning or a nuke.

So no, if there are clear manufacturing defects (misaligned bezel, uneven crystal, etc) and it's going to bother you/sour the purchase for you, then you should reject the watch and have your TD source a new one.

I think what people are getting at is that the decision doesn't really require input from anyone else, it is your watch and you're the only one who has the final say on whether or not it's acceptable to you. Posting the pictures here for others to nit pick to death doesn't do anyone any good, because it's not their purchase and they don't have to live with it.

The QC pics are a courtesy offered to you in order to confirm that A) it is indeed the correct watch, and B) that there are no obvious defects. Beyond that, it's in your hands, so if the watch looks good - accept it. If you think there's an issue, ask for an additional picture to confirm or you can roll the dice on the TD having alternative pieces available to offer you and flat out reject the watch.

In this game research is everything and you should do your homework on any watch you're looking to purchase ahead of time. Once you know what the issues are, look for them in your QC pics and make your judgement accordingly.

edit: Goddamn, I'm slow on the draw. Oh well, what they said ^^.

You don't see the bigger picture is all. People hold up there transactions waiting on public approval. Imagine if everyone did this with every purchase. The sellers would never mail any watches and would forever be waiting for someone to accept. And the reject level would be so high that it would not be profitable to sell watches. What's the answer for the seller. Stop giving QC pics there to much trouble. Then you as a buyer will have no idea if your getting something even remotely close to what you ordered.
