You have a gentleman in your midst. His moniker is Yannou, and he read about my large wrist and my small bracelet. He attempted to help me by sending freely a couple of links for my bracelet.

The links did not arrive as shipped because someone stole them somewhere between France and the USA. Scumbags are out there! They will steal your parts from paper envelopes. Always tape
parts down so they will not fall out of an envelope, and better yet, bubble wrap so that the whole envelope will have to be opened to steal them.

Thank you Yannou for you thoughtful gift and it is a crying shame that someone would stoop so low as to steal parts from the mail system.

The one stealing it was the mail sorting machine.
The envelopes arew so fast, that the link gets "shoot out" when they stop the envelope.

Well, my good man, that certainly is a possibility that I had not considered. The envelope looks like it was purposefully torn upward at the top corner. Good hypothesis.

I had this with coins just dropped into the envelope instead of taping them to the envelope...

This was discussed last week, NEVER put metal parts in an envelope! These letters are machine sorted at least 5 times before they reach their destination! Everything is automated nowadays and machines don't care how much you want the parts it will EAT them! Once the parts fall out of the envelope there is absolutely NO way for Postal employees to determine what envelope they came from or where to send them??
