Mine is still running strong...just checked.. :)

other than the slightly tricky part on getting the date setting position...

also..from dead to moving, i handwound the movement at least 25 times..for most ETAs, it would usually take about 10-15 winds to get the seconds hand moving..

The breaking of the stem is holding me back from getting gen parts franken in..gen parts on a dead movement is not gonna do much for anyone..

I have started a new thread on RG to ask Angus on the movement..would be good if all members who bought the sub or YM with the 3135 to update that thread with issues so that he knows and can rectify it..

I wish it was that simple... From what angus told me All theses watches are the same.

To be clear, I have a YM and a Sub with the SA3135. The sub stem broke like nothing while changing dial and hands( work done by a very good watchmaker), the aftermarket 3135 stem or the gen doesn't fit the movement. once the stem is broke good luck to get an other one. And for the YM, the watch is still running fine, i don't wear it because of the problem to find the sweet spot everytime you adjust time and date. How long before the stem break too while moving it around for the hands don't move... I just hope that we ll find a solution to this matter. Now, i don't know if the problem comes from the stem or the movement itself??

The sweet spot is not that difficult to find for SA3135. When you pull out the crown, its hard. But when you push in after the time adjustment, you can easily hit the date adjustment. But of cos, this is not the traditional way to adjust the date.

Thats sounds crazy, think about it. Go buy any cheap watch anywhere, name a store find the cheapest watch you can get, go anywhere the smallest kiosk at the mall buy the $19 watch, play with the thing. I can change the date, wind it, and set time thousands of times, never a problem. So to accept this problem in a watch they claim is a perfect clone of the Rolex is just silly. This new Rolex clone is junk, I don't care how pretty it is, thats the deal with this new rep movement it only made to look pretty, not made to function, and it cost $399?? WTF?? It also sold on a premise that it accepts gen parts, it DOES NOT.

Why are you so excited to claim this a junk? The watch has not fail me yet. It still turn like a Rolex 3135.. It still keep solid good time.

If you so skeptical about rep stuff. Perhap you shall leave this forum. I think its the best solution.

Or perhaps you should leave, considering your wealth of knowlegde about rep watches, your long term experience with reps, and your smartass comments to a long term well informed member.

Why shall I leave when I am interested in rep stuff and have faith in it and willing to try? I never say I am smart ass, rather the one think he is, is you...

You keep saying this SA3135 movt is junk? Then why is my one still keep time well and ticking? Just a bad example from a member who mod it in the process and damage it and you claim everything is junk?

Even ROLEX will void any warranty if you mod their watch no matter how reliable their movt is, why? Simple. Any mod involves a risk.

Point taken, but I had and still have no intention of attacking this member or to insult him, I was speaking of the movement, thats it. The table turned with his remark toward me.

So so sorry long time.

If members can't calmly debate a topic without it devolving into name calling and passive aggressive threats, then Q5's suggestion is probably a good course of action. Take a break. Pet a puppy.

Lots of posts, just a few posts......who cares? We all deserve to be treated with respect and should endeavor to act in a mature manner.

:)

Guys , let be fair.

This guy keep shouting JUNK JUNK JUNK without much much backup and numbers.. Somehow is like spread false prophet... Did he own this movt and it fail him,no. And this guy just trying to pyscho everybody this is junk theory..

Even a Rolex gen may breakdown just after running few days.. So all gen Rolex 3135 are also junk?

The fact that the movement keeps good time gives it promise. The winding stem issue and date function need work, that's all. They launched it too early to cash in on Christmas bucks I think. Something that will come back and bite them in the ass most likely. When things calm down after Christmas I'll bet a V2 will show up and with any luck, it'll be designed to work better. I'll be on board for one then, and only then.

Hey guys, right after I posted this I finally got an email from Puretime. Here's what they said.

Dear Dave,
*
The movement has been fixed yet and it*will not be any problems with it.
*
Can I be of any further assistance please get back to us any time.
*
Kindly thanks and best regards,

My original email:

I'm interested in the new 3135 movement in your Yacht Master Rolex model. Has the issue with the winding stem and date wheel been resolved? Members on the RWI board are having problems with their's and even one breaking. Is this being fixed by the manufacturer? I sent an email earlier in the week and never got an answer back.
