after we show you QC photo. if the watch as same as our web site photo and without any problem. but you don't want it. we will asking 20% re-stocking fee. please note for every one. thank you

I did, I raised the issue with Roo prior to opening this up. I wanted to be sure I wasn't mucking things up.

And my response was in that in my view, without seeing the email exchanges with the dealer, and based just on what you told me, you didn't really have a case. It did sound to me like you rejected the watch not based on QC (i.e., some major defect with the watch) but based on disappointment with the model itself. Testament to that is the fact that you then went for a completely different watch. I also agreed that you could share the story with fellow members but with tact. I thought sharing it could have been useful to noobies who (1) might misinterpret QC to mean "decide whether this rep is good enough for you and pick a different one if you don't like it", and (2) fail to research a specific model carefully prior to ordering it.

I want to emphasise that this view was based on your initial explanation to me by PM of the grounds for rejection. If I could have a look at the full email exchange it would be useful to determine if I'm right or wrong. Please send it to me.

Look, I never wanted this to become a dealer bash nor a reason not to buy from Mark. He's a TD on here for a reason. But there's a problem that's arisen from this transaction that needs to be fixed.

Mark, you MUST clean up your process as you can't withhold peoples money because you feel like it. I rejected the TAG because the chrono pushers sat too high on the case and the finish on the pushers was not good enough, and this was highlighted by the FINAL QC pic. Yes, also one hand was off centre but I could fix that and live with it. But not the pushers.

And I didn't even ask for a refund, I was going to spend MORE money with you to buy the Pam 104.

You need to make it clear that all purchases carry a risk of a re-stocking fee. Then there is no chance for confusion, arguments or disputes. But don't charge it before making it crystal clear and not expect some backlash from doing so. I suggest that you modify your terms and conditions to suit your actual intent. And soon.

Either way, I no longer care and have taken my business elsewhere. It particularly galls me that you have only chosen to respond once I have taken action to force you to do so, otherwise you'd happily ignore me for eternity.

I did, on the email I sent you.
One of many I sent attempting to settle this without involving a cast of thousands.
One of the ones you ignored.
Please outline where in your terms and conditions it outlines that rejection of QC, on whatever grounds, results in a fee being levied?Besides, it's in stock so what do you care? Right? After all, that's how you advertised it.
Now you're requesting a refund from me. How should I respond? Should I just ignore you as you did me? You were more than pleased with yourself to take my money without justification, best I can do is return it less a 20% re-stocking fee, yes?

in our return policy clearly wrote:

the fact is: you already paid. then you ask exchange or refund after we provide QC photo to you. after that. You try to circumvent our website return policy. And requires us to accept your offer. so we refuse and gnored your offer.

Besides our quality warranty we offer a 7 days return/exchange policy if you are not happy of your purchase for any reason. If you plan to send the watch back for a refund/exchange please remember the following:

- This warranty excludes the watch gold plating fading and water damage.
and if customer's watch part broken which is not by our mistake. then buyer need pay the replace new watch part cost. we will repair for free. if buyer ask exchange or refund goods after buyer paid. then buyer need to pay both way postage and 20% of goods sold price re-stocking fee.


- All links that came with the watch must be shipped back with the watches.

However I never returned the watch. In fact, I never even took it.

You may charge a fee but only if you have clearly outlined the trigger for charging it. In this case you have not.

The purpose of QC pics is to make sure the watch doesn't have a crooked marker, some paint peeling off, scracthes, a missaligned cyclop, ... Not to obtain some extra pics of the model you're after.

Based on the reason you gave them, and after looking at the provided QC pics, I believe TS had the right to refuse to exchange the watch.

That said, I think these re-stocking fees are too easy to be missused, and therefore should be avoided. Maybe it's best to refuse to exchange a watch if you think the reject is not justified, and explain the customer why.

And in the end, if an agreement can't be found, either of the parties is free to contact a mod or admin for arbitration.

I had an order with a different TD some time ago... placed the order, and QC pics came to me

to my horror, I discovered that I ordered the wrong watch

I asked the dealer if it was possible to swap, and he did (I was so happy he did this favour to me, I ordered 2 watched instead)

just sayin'
