Hi all- so a little different kind of question. I was at the doctor yesterday and saw an Italian couple with matching Breitlings that were large and really caught my eye. I have a Breitling Bentley that is 49 mm and wears large and I get a lot of compliments on it. I'm wondering, what other watches wear big? I have an Ebel 1911 that wears small for example even though it's approx 44.5 mm. Any suggestions? I'm itching to buy a couple of bigger watches and I would like SS bracelets ideally. Thanks in advance.

The Hublot Big Bang King wears very big but doesn't come on a SS bracelet.
It doesn't get any bigger than the Bentley.
The Panerai Submersibles are 47x19mm and a SS bracelet is available. Here is my old SlyTech:

I was looking at the Hublot's but the lack of ss bracelet kills it. I like the look of the slytech's quite a bit. I think that's one that will be seriously considered. Very nice pic by the way.

I have read Frank Mullers wear big. Dont quote me but I think the dimensions are 47x40 (or 42)

Find watches with big case/big dial. Just to quote an example, 42mm IWC portuguese wears like a 44mm watch.
My take is IWC Big Pilot or Fiddy. Both wear big.

plus, heron, are you asking abt smaller watches that 'wear big' or bigger watches that wear as big as their actual size.
fr example, i was just looking recently at some of pix's baume n mercier riviera xxl at 42mm. sounds small, but bcz of its case size, in comparison shots, it looks as big as a 44mm pam. conversely, a BP sounds huge at 46.5mm (espclly when you throw in that airport control tower of a crown), but actually seems imo to wear smaller than it's huge measurements belie.
i don't know from personal experience but i've heard the FM curvex jumbo chrono's wear very big. 40x55mm, n 18mm thick. dat seems BIG.

I'd like to find a bigger watch that actually wears big. I gave the example of the Ebel which is 44.5 and looks smaller. I have a Panny 113 that actually wears smaller. The Breitling Bentley looks like a big watch, my Graham Chrono looks like a big watch because it has a full set of kitchen utensils hanging off the side. My wrists are small compared to my hands and forearms so I like something a little more substantial to hide the birdy wrists.

I noticed watches with thin bezels (like the Omega Railmaster which already is a huge watch) tend to wear big.
Also thick watches (like AP ROO and Rolex DSSD). And I find slapping on a SS bracelet also increases the look and size of a watch.

I have that same B&R in 46 mm and it's a nice sized beast. I have the nylon strap and am hoping to graduate to the SS bands. I like the look of the UBoats, but don't think they come with the SS. I have a UPO from T4D on order and am waiting for it to arrive. I'm also looking at an Oris Carlos Coste with a SS band, they look to wear big.

Thanks Guru. I'm planning on buying 2-3 watches and that Super Avenger is definitely one of them with the SS band because of your pics. I love my breitling bentley 6.75 and it's the same size.

Big! - 50mm, can you believe they do a 55mm too!?
This is not too big [46mm] IMO - esp next to the U-Boat
This Seiko is 42mm and considered large on the Seiko forums! lol
