Manchester United vs Barcelona

You guys may be Man U fans, but come on...
I'm completely neutral (live in Conus - didn't even know who Man U and Barcelona were until 3 years ago) but I've gotten really into following the sport, although i don't really have a team that I cheer for or anything.
Barcelona is going to destroy Man U. Messi is playing on a whole different level than anyone Man U can put in front of him. Look how they manhandled RM, even if Man U is a better team than RM and I'm not saying that, they are still going to be destroyed by Barcelona.

Ok we need some blaugrana love around here. I'm usually not confident for fear of jinxing the team but I just don't see how we lose this one if we play how we have all season. Manu will have a huge problem possessing the ball and we've already dealt with the best counter-attacking team in the world. Plus we hopefully get Abidal back and we can finally put our best 11 on the pitch. That said though anything can happen and we're talking about 2 of the best teams in the world, each with players that can win the thing on their own. Should be an unbelievable matchup.

The problem i see with the FCB lineup for this year is the lack of height on our squad. Most of our key players are short and albeit talented they are not on par with the stronger ManU squad. Hopefully we'll win this year based purely on talent and not in strength.

Barcelona is a better team. Even Real Madrid is much better than ManU (IMO RM and FCB are the 2 best teams in the world right now...)
But... the final is in Wembley so ManU can't loose at home.

I'm with you buddy! No other team on the planet is on the same level as Barca! Messi is without doubt the best player in the world right now, and probably ever. Although Man U are a good team, they are nowhere near as good as they were a few seasons ago!! Their best player is 37 years old and in the twilight of his career, and I just can't see them being good enough.

Iam stuck in the middle here as Iam a fan of both teams !
However to think that Man U's best player is 37 and past is a big mistake.
Most teams in England probably thought that this year also !
All I Can say is there is goals in both teams and it will be some game.

I wasn't saying that Giggs is past it or won't pose a threat, just that he is nowhere as dangerous as years gone by and not in the same league as Messi and co. Same goes for Scholes, Van der sar, etc..
Those are the players that made Man U what they once were, and are in my opinion irreplaceable. Once they have gone..... Who knows

But after giggs (Valencia) Scholes (Fletcher) Not too mention Rooney Hernandez.
I personaly think Barca are without doubt the best team on the planet at this moment in time but if you analyze the game all it takes is for Messi Iniesta or Xaxi to have an off night and they will struggle.
Man U have potential match winners in Giggs Scholes Hernandez Valencia Nani & Berbatov.
No matter what happens it should be a fantastic occassion.
Plus remember also this game is a t Wembley which will help man U

That's what I love about this game. We can all voice our opinions about who has the best players, or who is a superstar/past it etc. However there are so many other variables to consider. ie penalties, own goals, goalie fcuk ups etc...
