God my pictures suck.

The black rehaut is a new upgrade. The gen has that.

Indeed you need a new camera, Fakey...

This pic of him does justice to the watch, and is finally cool to see the details on it, looks really cool all blacked out
...Congrats on your new watch, engarom!

Cheers,
Spirit.

Fakey old son you have no idea how being too broke to order one of these is pissing me off. My employees are earning more than me ATM and I got a house to pay for and business to run. Thank you Aussie reserve bank. You didn't just put the brakes on the economy, you draged it out the back and shot it!

Fm's offerings show the quality its possible to get at a bargin price and I have loved the PVD look on Rolex's since a client bought a gen produced by some mob in the UK that Fakey is prob baseing this one on. I think I will go for the Explorer tho, if Fakey does one.

Nice unique watch, great price If there's a beter buy at that price point I am yet to find it. Truly mate.

Regards,
Col.

The finish is extremely durable. SA has one of the first prototyes I did. He's had it for quite some time and it's holding up. I also still have one of the first ones I did. It is about 9 months old at this point. I wear it regularly and it looks great. Every watch will get scuffs at some point but I just use the method described in my PVD tutorial and it brings it back.

I'm sure I could charge more for these but I do them more for fun. I've never considered an Explorer before.

One more thing. If I did an Explorer I'm not sure how it would look. They have silver bezel inserts. I don't if that would look right. Seems it would need a black insert.

Thats my only question. Since Fakey says its PVD, it's propper PVD but how resistant is a gloss PVD to scratches? I don't know so can someone enlighten me?

EDIT: answered. Yeah mate, do an Explorer by all meens! Its the origenal PVD Rolex, thanks to those Poms. If you don't have that dealer bookmarked PM me and I'l find them for you. Some very nice PVD stuff on there. PVD Rolex gens is all they do.

EDIT2: Ya, needs black insert. Could you sorce a ceramic one from somwere? You would beat the gen modders to that one!

Honestly I think it would end up being so expensive no one would want it. Those ceramic bezels are not cheap. And it would have to be a GMT ceramic not an explorer meaning it would be sans the 24. I can see people going into convulsions now.

I've got to say that if Fakey's pics were as good as the one here I probably would have purchased one as well! No offense bud, you your pics do suck! Watch looks great. Could you do it with a slightly "less glossy" finish?

I can't find a link anywhere. They were limited editions. They seem to do a featured one every year. This year it's a Daytona. Last year it was a Sub. The year before a GMT. If the finish were to be done in a flatter type it would look like a Pro Hunter. And it would not hold up as well.

??

No Rolex doesn't make them. LOL. That would require innovation and a pulse on the market. Panerai is about as behind the times as you can get and even they do a better job.
