This looks awesome, the EW I have is sharp and kind of unpleasant to wear. Big big upgrade from the looks of it
If the case and bracelet is finished well with no sharp edges this will be great and will sell like hot cakes. An6one who has one already give us your opinion?

Hont can get these now and is saying $498 with free shipping.

Great news, this was the comparison I was waiting after selling my EW with deep xtal.

Now I’m ordering this mate and you have to find me a gen xtal 🤣
Gen xtal can use the same as DJ41. Ordered gen xtal and gen dw both for 350 shipped from xing.

Also going to be the only mods I do I guess maybe I stumble over a gen crown later.

That will look amazing. Have clean upgraded their xtal recently though? As good as vsf xtal now.

I am very curious about scratch resistance. My TW is very delicate and scratches easily.

me too. The gen is very scratch resistant I heard someone say in a you tube video.the tw isn't grade 5 titanium I imagine that's why.

This clean version is grade 5 apparently

Grade 5 titanium is substantially more scratch resistant than 316l stainless steel.

Some say they have some say they don’t. Nonetheless it won’t look like gen and it was a good deal. Also cf has different crystal thickness to gen and therefore you need another gasket, magnification will never look gen with stock parts just because physics.

But looking at CF QCs it really looks like they stepped up the crystal game recently.

I think there's alot of misinfo. Grade of Titanium refers to basically different Ti alloys with different composition. It's still all Ti.

All Titanium alloys, they have slightly lower hardness compared to SS, so not scratch resistant as steel no matter what.

Contrary to popular belief - Gr 2 Titanium is more pure in Ti than Gr 5. This makes it better in some areas than Gr 5 like corrosion resistance but it's softer, hence less scratch resistance than Grade 5. This is what I think people get confused by. They shoulf say Grade 5 is more scratch resistant IN RELATION TO GRADE 2.

There's a way that many manufacturers get by this - applying a coating to the metal. You may have heard of stuff like Duratec or SINN's tegitmented steel. Metals with these coating are more scratch resistant but is not an inherent to metal itself. And the thing about these coatings is that it is very hard to refinish the watch if it does scratch.

I'm not sure if Rolex uses a coating. I don't think so otherwise Rolex would be jerking it ofg as a propietary hardness coating in all marketing materials.

While steel can be polished in case of scratches, I don't think grade 5 titanium can be polished.

Titanium can be polished. It's just difficult and has some safety concerns. How do you think Clean brushed the surface of the rep? Haha.

Titanium machining has a nasty habit. Did you know Ti bits is quite flammable in strands?

Many polishers and watch makers refuse to polish it for this reason. Some specialized training and tools is needed.

all clear, many thanks. what i would like to understand is if the clean version is scratch resistant or if it scratches easily.

yes sure, but I think it is more difficult to reproduce the brushing on titanium than simply polishing steel. and I also think that brushing titanium costs more than simply polishing the steel.

Titanium when polished produces dust. This dust is very flammable and explosive. That's why just some standard workshop will not do Ti polishing.

I dont think people should expect any Titanium to be scratch resistant unless they clearly state some kind of duratec coating. You will be disappointed. This is pure material properties. Grade 2, Grade 5, it does not matter, it is not scratch resistant. Why do you think the Clean version would be scratch resistant?

In fact Titanium will scratch much easier than steel.

No where does it state or Clean had advertise scratch resistance. Even Rolex does not advertise the Titanium Yachtmaster as scratch resistant.

I can’t understand the fear to scratch a replica watch to be honest, reps, or gens, are meant to be used and if they scratch is not a big deal, but with a rep you can get a new one if you are that picky…
Was going to say the same. Metal's gonna scratch, regardless how careful you are or how "scratch-resistant" the watch. Even tungsten carbide will scratch if impacted by the right material. You want scratch resistance, get a full diamond watch...

Guys, I'm not asking for a bracelet that doesn't scratch, I was just asking because my TW scratches just by looking at it. So I was wondering if the Clean is at least more scratch resistant, that's all. If it's actually made of grade 5 titanium, it will surely be better than the TW.

It is slightly more scratch resistant but that is not saying anything. Very minor.

It will still scratch easily 🤣. So do not expect anything.

I have seen video of HKer applying transparent protective sticker over entire gen Rolex watch :D
might as well buy and then lock the watch inside safe

just my own Titanium experience with watches: I haven't a YM /CF Titanium yet but a Seiko Sportura Titanium and it scratches; however with a special brush for watch cases I can remove the scratches what I do time by time.
