Those spring bar holes look way better than the eBay case. Are the spring bars themselves 2.0mm or 1.8mm

started a 16710 project too 😅

what are the options for hands besides going for gen hands?
hour, minute and seconds hands for 3135 should fit the VR3186 movement, correct?

i searched for the GMT hand hole size of the gen 3186 movement and found that its 2,00mm. if that is corect, one could use a GMT hand for 2836 movement which is also 2,00mm.

I really hope someone an answer my question, and maybe someone else will benefit from this too in this thread.

Can anyone help me with the 3186 movement? I bought a brand new 3186 movement, and it comes with the “guide” hands to give you a rough estimate on the set time.

But, there’s a small “shim” underneath the hands. What to do with that? Does it stay there? Is it also a guide for the hands? I am a bit confused how to install it properly. Installing hands is not the problem form me. Just the extra complication 😅

Maybe you mean the dial washer?
Here is a good explanation https://blog.watchdoctor.biz/2023/09/23/what-is-a-watch-dial-washer/

YES, that's the one I was talking about. Sorry, my first language isn't English, but glad you understood what I meant.
I understand it is mandatory to be there, does it need to be in a certain position before installing the dial and hands?
It goes below the dial in this position.

It's sort of a spring that pushes the hour wheel/GMT wheel down so the teeth don't slip.
