The stars would have to align for a naked 240 cal to show up on ebay. Cheapest option right now is sourcing like a 5015 or 5054j and ripping the movement from that. It would be the same 240 PS IRM C LU used in the 5712

Do you have links to a Caliber 240 with micro rotor? I'm all in on one
Haven't seen one but to be fair, haven't looked much either. Given that I see several dials and the like on eBay and Chrono, I'm sure they must be out there.
The point I was making is that the ACE feels expensive relative to it's presumptive cost to produce and it's performance both aesthetically and mechanically.
Beyond the potentially better winding efficiency, this is still a rep movement with a reputation for unreliability, one we definitely can't expect to last forever. The gold rotor seems to be finished more roughly than even the stock PPF rotor, so aesthetically it doesn't feel like much of an upgrade either.
IMO compared to other Chinese Patek rep movements - even ones with similar parts counts - it feels pricey to me. Excluding the gold oscillating weight, I imagine it would cost a similar amount to manufacture the clone 324 with engraved plates in my 3KF 5811 - yet the 324 clone costs far less than the ACE 240. This cost differential between the ACE and other rep movements works out even greater if the ACE 240 is in fact just a stock Chinese 240 ebauche with slightly better engraved plates and a gold weight.

I received my modded 5712 from chazing with free spring balance. Chazing told me that it’s best not to set the date or moonphase using the pusher pins instead I should simply increase the time using the crown and it will cause the date to increase. Also it is best to not have the watch on a winder and instead use the crown to wind
