Hello, I'm a newbie and I have a couple of rolex reps I'd like to possibly upgrade/waterproof/upgrade crystal etc. I'm in the Philadelphia, PA area, looking for someone in the area but also willing to mail to someone in another state. I spoke to one watchsmith in the city and he said verbatim "I can't waterproof a replica" and I understand but I think if he takes it apart and sees it he may be able to help. Anyway, looking for any local/regional recommendations. Thank you in advance!

First of all there is no such thing as a waterproof watch. You can test it for different levels of water resistance. Depending on the watch, this may or may not be achievable. Have you checked the Trusted watchsmith section ? There are quite a few options

I understand, I misspoke, I just want to do a pressure test and see if anything can be done to improve water resistance, I know it's not guaranteed. I'm looking in the watch smith section now, thank you

Hello and WELCOME to RWI from the official reception desk!

You are receiving this message because you either posted in the "new members say hi" section or due to one of your first posts elsewhere. In the latter case, consider introducing yourself in said section.

If you haven't already, please make sure to read all sticky threads in the new members area. They contain very important / essential information and our forum rules! Most importantly our sales rules, because you will NOT yet be eligible / be allowed to sell unless you meet certain criteria / are certified first.

A good starting point is this list of resources on RWI:

Also, take a look again at this sticky:

And this one as well:

We love to help, but please allow some time for PM responses as we have lifes outside of RWI!
