That Springfield .45 is great looking. Did you have the flats polished or did it come from the factory that way?
Either way it is sharp.

I tried carrying a fullsize 1911 for a while and it was just too heavy for me to be comfortable.

I switched to my sig 232 and it has been great. In the winter when I wear trousers more often, I carry it in a nice galco ankle holster. At first that wasn't too comfortable but I got used to it.

I am lusting after those little Rugers though. I would definitely carry more often if I could pocket carry.

Satin-finish brushed sides and bead-blasted matte finish otherwise. Makes for a nice looking piece!

Hey, thanks a lot for the compliments guys. :)

It is the Mil-Spec model, factory finish. I agree it is very stunning, they did a great job.

I think it is a Wilson. I got it from Brownells a long time time ago. I have used it on several different guns.

This thing holds the gun like nothing I have ever seen. When the cops disarm me, they always give me a weggee. It seems to break the ice and they compliment me on my gun leather.

It's not a Wilson; I was a Master Dealer for them and their extended stop is much smaller than that. Masen and King's are the only ones that size that come to mind. Not that it really matters, I was just curious. :)

Seriously? Nice. My father purchased a UT-15 about a year ago or so. It's his first endeavor into rifles, he has no idea how to use it. I'm dying to go to the range with it but honestly Ive never handled an AR15 either. He's yet to fire a round through it.I've shot every handgun under the sun, but no AR's. It would be silly asking someone at the range "hey how do I operate my gun".

I'll tell you what though, if it was mine, within 24hrs of it arriving, i'd know exaaactly what to do with it!

Perhaps a Kings then. I know I have purchased items made by Kings , I don't remember buying Masen items. Thanks for asking. You have reminded me , I have been meaning to buy a Wilson Bullet Proof slide stop. Do you have an opinion of them? I really don't need the radical extention, but I would like the very best slide stop available. Thanks.

All of Wilson's Bullet Proof line are machined from solid bar stock as opposed to MIM (Metal Injected Molding). Same for Ed Brown's Hardcore parts. Note that it's not extended though, the BP slide stop is pretty skinny. The difference in the machined vs. MIM shows in that the BP part is nearly double that of the MIM part.

When I build a carry gun I always use bar stock parts from Wilson, Brown, and Caspian. Some of my plinking guns or even one of my Single Stack raceguns use a few MIM parts; the Wilson extended slide stop being one of them. Hope this info helps.

Helped a lot.

I am going with the Wilson Bullet Proof. If I don't think of anything else I'll order it all by its onesy, so I don't put it off again. Once something is bothering me, it has to be put right.

I like to have a nice laser equipped .22 with me when I go to town. I know .22 will not do too much damage, but I practice neck and eye shots as often as I can.

Springfield XD9. I gave up my Glocks a long time ago, and never looked back!

Also, I'll carry my HK USP-40 Expert in the winter. It's a little hard to conceal in the summer time. LOL!

Nice! A USP 45 loaded with RA45T ammo (I think, can't see inside). The same old friend, just without the Lubalox coating. :anopsis:

A former employee of mine has a USP-45 with a can for sale. It's nice to be able to shoot without hearing protection.
