How bout Omega Seamaster? Looks good with a suit too...

for me a sports watch doesn't go with a suit. i always wear a rolex, patek or a vc when i wear a suit. somehow a sports watch doesn't go with armani and some high dollar cuff links. it reminds me of putting white wall tires on a ferrari. lol

nothing beats the ap ro jumbo..it's practically jewellery on ur wrist!

seraphe: i'm a breitling/panerai/ap/rolex kind of guy. w regards to strap/bracelets..i think it might be cause of weather..i find myself wearing bracelets more than leather when i'm back in sg and more leather than bracelets when i'm in aus, esp during winter. leather is certainly too hot for sg's hot and humid weather, def needs some getting used to.

Well, AP RO Jumbo is 10 times more expensive than Seamaster :p

It's true, it takes time to get used to wearing leather(and rubber strap) in Singapore. Too hot..

It makes lotsa sense. Leather and rubber tend stick to your skin uncomfortably in the 99% humidity. What's more? The wrist expands and contracts through the day and it doesn't seem to work wearing leather loose. Unless you work night-shift or never has to meet the hot humid air of the day, metal bracelet seems more sensible.

I've thought about an RO chrono rep, but hasn't seen one with the correct subdial. Anyone has any new findings?

Beautiful, my ONLY gripe on this (and the thing that keeps me from picking up ANY rep Rolex) is the damn etching on the crystal. Why not just abstain from putting it on there? You CANNOT see it with the naked eye on a gen, yet you can with a rep. It is the one thing that SCREAMS fake on a rep Rolex. If they put a non-etched crystal on this, it'd be that much more difficult to call out.

How is the lume on the rep vs. the gen? Big difference? Of course you can get a rep relumed, but it's nice to know if it's a necessary step :)

The lume is a little weak, but still better than my sub. It's visible enough when exposed to sunlight, even from the window. Reluming can be a good idea, but I'm not a picky one on the lume. I don't suppose many people are going to notice what watch it is in the dark.

As for the etch, I don't really see it when I hold it up 5 inches from my eyes. I see it only in the close-up pic from the camera. So I don't think anyone is going to come closer than 5 inches to my wrist.

This post is a good example of "thoughtful watch use." This is usually how I think about what watch to wear for the day, or for part of the day. Some watches, reps or gens, have such busy dials that checking the time is distracting. This is why I've never worn a chrono to work. I don't need to time anything.

Still, I have a 7.5" wrist and I'm concerned 37mm will be too small...

I have been wearing mine for over a year now. Got it originally from Andrew. it's the vintage model and I still love wearing it. Size isn't the issue. Class is........and the Explorer 1 has lots of it.

I like the airking 369 but that dial next to those gen pics looks more authentic than my airking compared to a gen airking dial. They need to make numbers and roman numerals thicker on rolex replicas then it'd be hard to spot. My airking also has a nice concave crown but it won't screw on any more and I have no idea how to get that fixed. My dealer won't sell me another one, says I must buy ETA even though I know this watch is plentiful in asian countries with asian movement.

Don't know... But I know my airking gen is 34mm. Sad it's too small for me now. I'd just leave it for my kid.
