i only believe half of you guys....
most of you just know how to download and repost a picture.

i wonder why a person that drives cars for several hundred thousand $ -
wastes time on a replica watch forum ? yeah right !

good ol'USA.....so many rich people....( for only 29.95% credit rate )

now, keep flaunting your cars......even if they belong to the bank and you are

only 2 weeks away from the repo guy knocking on your door.

not impressed.

Agreed with the latter half of this post... lots of living beyond means here in the States (I probably only know one person whose car is actually paid for). Everything is on credit these days.

Can't say I buy the argument about who owns what though, aside from the one obviously fake post about the tuned 6 series Bimmer. A lot of people are able to afford these cars because (in addition to easy financing) they're smart and successful. You don't need to spend tens of thousands on watches to have a great piece on your wrist... reps are that good lately. If replica cars were anywhere close to as nice, instead of some re-skinned Fiero, I bet a lot of us would be driving those too.

How 'bout cars we owned?

Why not expand on this thread, no more bull $hit on cars people NEVER owned or dream of and become well to do driving superior automobiles and trying to fool us.

I'll start with my favorites
My first Luxury car.
1988 Lincoln LSC Mark VII
every option you could ask for.

1988-lincoln-mark-vii-lsc-with-air-suspension-conversion-kit.jpg

My first car, drove the balls off it through my first years of college.
1987 Ford Escort GL
I wanted a GT or even the EXP but it's what mom drove then eventually me.
Many memories were made with that car.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6b/85-87_Ford_Escort_hatch.jpg

Then came my passion, my "grail from when I was 9 years old. owned for only a year, a 1981 Delorean Greya with auto. Vin 5582. The "idea" of a Delorean was far more romantic than the reality. All show no go, handled well (Lotus design) anemic powerplant and grossly overweight.
BUT nothing was more baller than pulling up and popping that gullwing door with a fresh "scratch" on the stainless steel panels. Definately a car for a tinkerer. Common snese got the better of me and sold it and more common sense took hold and i regretted selling it. After i saw back to the future, I was hooked for 10 years until I got my own in 1995. I was at first amused at the "does it go back in time "comments but always had a clever comeback.

My city commuting brought me to economical levels and went with a 5 speed accord Lxi. Lots of options, dependable and short lived. Bought and sold in a year.

Bikes, are a plenty. I love my current Ducati but it all started with this: 1985 Honda Rebel 250

Decided on a superbike after borrowing a friends 1982 Cb 750f.
A stock 600R Ninja. Needed some work and was relatively dependable. learned alot on that bike. (Mine was red)

gpx600r-1985.jpg

The harley days, short lived but fun. Not my style. 1991 Fatboy

hd_flstf_fatboy_90.jpg

Then, the GSX-R caught my attention. I had a 1989 750 , witha Vance and Hines Pipe jetted, and downgeared with advanced ignition. Fast is not the word.....frightening is closer to how brutal the accelaration was. I had the blue and white. Some decals tastefully done.

Therer were other bikes and cars but the last bike before the Ducati I really made my own was my 1997 GSXR-750. Short story: I bought a new 1998 GSXR and it was stolen within 2 months. With the insurance money I bought a near new 1997 model by private sale from a stockbroker out of work. It was piped 9Toshimura RS-3 carbon)

, jetted, and all tricked out. I added my own flair to it by bits of anodized aluminum, and polishing the aluminum fraom to look like chrome. A real eye catcher and brutally fast. It had the solo seat conversion and in many ways I liked the 97 better than the 98 since the 97 was carbed and could be tuned the old school way. The 98 was a nice idea because it had 8 bit digitally mapped fuel injection. I was happier that all the "work" was done for me...in the long run I made out. I had a bad wreck on the bike and it was ressurected in the form of a street fighter by my uncle.

Wow, this thread has taken a left turn....Why so much hullabaloo about the cars....and the ownership. I'd like to believe that people are truly showing the cars that they own.... and for the most part I think that most are.

Having said that, this gives me the opportunity to show off the front of my latest car.

I was too lazy to pull my other cars out of the garage to take pics of the front of them in my earlier post. But I will if anyone thinks I am faking ownership of my vehicle(s). But since none of my cars cost $100k plus, I don't think that anyone will call me out...... or am I using reverse psychology hoping no one will call me out....hmmmmmm.

Oh my god, you are right...can´t believe that I didn´t see that on my own within the last 2 years...

Ever seen a Porsche with those tires, whose right side is not mounted "backwards"?

This thread is starting to get a little extreme, settle it down a bit guys, I would rather not have to edit posts if I don't have to.

Well sometimes it is the thing that people who don´t seem to have an idea of what they are talking about need to throw their nonsense out and post it in forums like this one here. And sometimes I read such things and the hairs on my back start growing and I start turning green :biglaugh::wacko:

And when I post threads here, that are riddled with misspelling I will for sure edit this threads as anyone else would do too.

Edit: for example: fo rsure instead of for sure :)

What if we pin the title to the windshield with a note saying RWI? Would that impress you SIR? You might be a seasoned VIP member with over 5k posts on this forum but the comment you posted was the lowest blow possible...

What do you do for a living?

Are we going to transition into the "What do you do for a living" thread?

Seems like a natural progression. Plus, I'm trying to be richer than Jesus and it looks like a few of you know the right occupation to be in.

Should be all that difficult. Wasn't Jesus a carpenter?

I know mine is not under "contention" as to being real or fake, but here is a pic at the house - maybe that's what's needed? Pics of it in "the driveway?"
