Hey RWI Friends -

Been following, listening, and most importantly learning about Rep's for a long time. Finally... went ahead and pulled the trigger on a big 4-watch order:

1- Hulk Sub: ROLSUB0297 - Submariner 116610LV 904L SS/SS Green V2S ZZF A2836
2- New Sub on the Block: ROLSUB0303 - Submariner 116610LN 904L SS/SS Black RXF A2824
3- Seamaster Super clone: OMG0643 - Seamaster 300m 2018 SS/RU White VSF Asia 8800
4- Nautilus in Gold: PP0361B - Nautilus Jumbo 5711 SS/LE Grey/Stk PPF V4 Asia 324

Rationale:
Maybe I'm crazy for making my first order four watches, but I'm simply dying to compare the Illustrious ZZF V2 with the RXF (Andrew's recommended new Sub). I stayed away from the 3135 clone movements (and went asian ETA instead) because of reliability --- don't want to deal with service out the gate.

Seamaster 300M from VSF is on the NWBIG list -- so had to go for it. And a gold Nautilus has been my dream watch forever. The white dial PPF Nauty is virtually a Super Clone, so figured (against better judgement) to go with the Gold Plate version.

TLDR:
Just learning, excited for feedback, and humbly acknowledge "I know nothing". Excited to share QC photos and get the watches in hand.

Of course, kudos to Andrew! So far super response, seems great. Couldn't be more excited.

Thanks,
- Spence

Interesting that you have ordered the same watch as i have (Hulk Sub: ROLSUB0297 - Submariner 116610LV 904L SS/SS Green V2S ZZF A2836). I ordered mine on 05/08/2020 and nothing yet, he doesn't even have it in stock. I am disappointed he continues to sell these. Please let me know how you get on with regards to 'QC pics' etc.

Thanks

I just made my first rep purchase with Andrew as well (RXF Sub) and have to agree that his service is great. I was thinking of grabbing a 2nd piece (rose gold PP Calatrava as I would get a lot of use from a dress watch) but just wanted to see how smoothly things go with getting past NZ Customs.

Please let us know your thoughts on the ZZF V2 vs. RXF.

Good on you for going hard, and I hope it all goes smoothly!

Wow nice! I also ordered a RXF Sub that Andrew recommended. Can post some QC pics of mine. Not Hulk tho.

Remember, the TD's don't have these watches ready to ship out when you order them. each one is made as the orders are placed. The factories can't have these watches assembled in a warehouse due to the fact that they may be raided by police so they only make em one at a time, so patience is a must. It could take up to 6-8 weeks to receive it. Don't panic this is normal with todays covid and Hong Kong issues with China. sit tight and just wait. Trust Andrew will do his best to get your order in.

I see that you are new here, so ill give you a heads up. All the TD's have to wait till the factories assemble the watch you ordered. If you happen to buy a very popular watch then you have to wait longer because they assemble them as you order them and it's first come first served. So if 100 people order the same watch ahead of you, then you will have to wait till your order comes up. So don't be disappointed with a TD if he says they have it "in stock" that usually means he can still get it and it's not a discontinued model. Remember we are dealing with illegal counterfeit items here, this isn't Amazon.

Man, there’s no way my impatient ass could live with the anxiety of having 4 out there at once, hah!
I’d have to order two and then order the next two while waiting on dhl to pick up the first!
I applaud you good sir!

Thanks team. Here's a random question:

I'm buying the ZZF hulk with the intention to give to my younger brother. He's got a big 8" wrist. Do you think the standard bracelet will fit? Or do I need email Andrew to ask to buy some extra links? Would appreciate a quick thoughts and process here.

Yours,
- Spencer

Yep, it will go up to approx 8.5” on the standard bracelet (possibly a little more)

Don't ship them all in the same shipment. Make it 4 shipments. If your monster box gets seized you will be having a bad day. I have been buying Reps for 4 years with 2 seized by US Customs. If I can help you with your addiction let me know.

Thanks for the heads up! Have to ask: 2 seized by customs out of how many total shipments?

Slanglican - yeah I'm already itching to throw in another order. What is typically min / max time between order and actual delivery? Realizing it can sometimes take over a month. Note: I'm ready to practice major patience, just curious what's typical.

Thanks,
- Spence

Have Trusty Time do 2 shipments. 2 watches each or even 4 shipments. I don't think he's able to ship them on different days since all flights are typically once a week or twice a week.

4 watches is doable, just need to have good luck :)

I don't want to cause unnecessary panic on here and hope your 4 watches just breeze through customs. I did read a thread on RWI that discussed a case in the US where someone ordered 4 reps which were seized by customs and Rolex tried to make an example of themthrough a sizeable lawsuit. I don't know what the outcome of that was though.

In NZ our customs service and biosecurity is very strict so I have just ordered one rep to test the waters. If all goes well, it won't be long before I order another.

I think splitting shipments is a safe bet, particularly if sent on different days. TDs are experienced so discuss it with them. I also read about someone else who had his shipment of 2 reps seized and his TD sent free replacements. However, those got seized as well and the buyer had to bear the cost of that shipment as they went against the TD's recommendations.

Some say that FedEx and DHL scrutinise packages more so while they can be faster and safer on the one hand, it can be riskier on the other. I don't have any first-hand experience yet but thought I'd share what I have found on here so far and hope it helps.

Has anyone had recent experience with delivery times? I have found a lot of my shipments have experienced quite significant delays due to Covid. I bought a Swiss gen from the US over a month ago and the DHL Express tracking still estimates it is 12 days away. But I live on the opposite end of the world from everything so I don't expect anyone to be able to give me an accurate picture.

It fits my 8.25 inch wrist about half way along the glide lock - the absolute maximum without extra links is going to be around 8.75 inches. At 8 inches you will hardly be using any of the glide lock extension.
