Is the rehaut engraving really fixed though? It looks like all the letters from 12-6 are off-centre from the dial line markers. 6-12 letters look dead centre with the markers. Or am i mistaken?

I believe its from the angle of the pictures as the angle was tilted to the left. Here's another angle of the photo, you will be able to see it centered from those numbers.

I wont be so much bothered about the rehaut when you can find it misaligned also in the R factory models...
Hands, Crystal and DW instead are a nice upgrade to get a SUPER franken for around 1,2k€ that cannot be distinguished from the gen easily, unless you check the rehaut!

I also have the feeling from the last qc pictures I have seen that the hands indeed look better than before. But I'm not 100% sure to say that they have changed them.
I don’t know what these guys are using to finish their bracelets but it’s much harder to scratch/scruff than my Gens. The amount of time I’ve banged and slide it around on the surface of my desk while using a keyboard has been shocking because there’s still isn’t a scratch on the clasp.
Right and yet all of my 316L watches can’t even come close to the resistance of this VSF bracelet. Enjoy your ZF though.

Please let's not start with a steel conspiracy theory... It seems all your comments are aimed to make your factory of choice better or something.
"There is no difference between 316L and 904L steel in strength and hardness. Both of them have similar Rockwell hardness (HRB) which is less than 95 and their tensile strength are both about 490MPa. These properties are specified for flat rolled product (plate, sheet and coil) in ASTM A240/A240M. The specification for pipe and bar is similar but not necessarily identical properties are specified."

Rolex calls 904L stainless steel a “corrosion-resistant superalloy.” 904L differs from 316L because of extra Chromium, Molybdenum, Nickel, and Copper which gives it improved resistance to acids. 316L is considered a tougher, harder, “marine grade” steel, but it does not have luster and acid resistance of 904L.

What you pasted basically means that 904L has better anti corrosion properties, 904L and 316L hardness is pretty similar Rockwell hardness for 316L is 95 and 90 for 904L, I have 316L watches that scratch super easy while some 904 that doesn't. Again please go and read all the insightful threads on rwi about the topic.
Don't know what's going with zf buyers but most of them spam nonsense all over the place.

5 units of Rockwell hardness is significant for scratch resistance - and that is only typical Rockwell hardness. Some 316L and 904L stainless steel will be lower than 95 and 90 respectively. Not all steels are made the same.
