I have a beautiful v2 with an gen Sellita movement... but sometimes the liquid Dial effect in v2 sucks. It is not terrible but noticeable.
Everything else is good. Rehaut does not interest me. The watch at all other points is very beautiful.
i do not know if it is worth to change ... at the end I get another flaw that is even worse.
i do not want a perfect watch but mine is is so close ... not to gen ... only to a superb watch that I am not sure to change to another model.
Is there still the problem with the hole in the Middle in the v2s ? The so called liquid Dial.
how did you fix them?

2 thin layers of insulation tape inside the lower wing of the sel so when it fits to the case it lowers the position just enough to recess better and is unseen. Took this pic while refitting the bezel but will be fitting a gen set today with gen retainer click springs etc.

Let us know when you receive the gen bezel set! Curious to see how the rep will hold against it
I’m gonna try this trick.
So to clarify, they go on the bottom portion of the side edges of the SELs where they would meet the lugs?
Thus Keeping them Lower down from The top side of the lugs when you push them home from Under side of the case.

Is there a specific tape u recomment ?Put the tape here. I used a thin strip to get it into position and then trimmed it flush to the end link sides.![]()

There's never been a problem with that it's a gen feature problem would be if it's not there. Rounded dial edges and center hole are correct and how these play with the light (the hole reflection seems to be bigger than in gens though). That's the reason V2S has it as well.
I have the V2 as well but will probably upgrade to V2S but would like to see the RFX no-date first I think.

Thank you very competent answer... then I will just keep mine.
My idea is the xtal has probably something to
do with it.

How much are the inserts these days?Disaster! My gen assembly has arrived and when I removed the old bezel, the whole lot came of at once and me being clumsy cracked the Zzf insert into pieces when I tried to separate the assembly for comparison shots. I’ll get another somewhere and compare then but here is a few pics comparing bezels.
Zzf teeth are now very close. They are slightly longer but very close. Bezel finish is very close too. Teeth are a bit better finished on the gen though.![]()

Biggest difference is on the back and why the gen clicks much better. The teeth are far crisper on the gen bezel. I have used the zzf click springs and the feel is excellent. The bezel gasket is quite different to the rep also and causes friction with the retainer to make it smoother.

As far as the insert numerals go, as nice as the zzf is it does not compare to gen really. The gen platinum pops and is more reflective than zzf. In sunlight the zzf does compare quite well but indoors and lower lighting it suffers in comparison. As I’ve said I’ll do a side by side when a new insert is acquired.
Here are couple of pics finished.

From pictures it is already clear that there is no comparison between ZZF and gen insert. They are just on two different levels. Both in terms of numerals and metallic shine. This is why I was very disappointed with my ZZF. The dial, although better, still lacks the depth of a gen dial. They are reps obviously so better not to expect too much.Disaster! By the way your ZZF with gen insert looks awesome. Maybe just a gen crystal and then it will be incredibly close to gen.
