here it is. Fresh landed in my Hands
Nice example! Congrats. Share a sunlight pic to show the tropical effect of the matte dial ;)

So I picked up one of these (ARF v3) and I'd really like to remove the cyclops to give that classic Sea Dweller style.

Does anyone know if removing this will cause issues with any AR coating? I'd hate for there to be a spot on the crystal that looks different where the cyclops was removed.

Thanks.

Heat the glue up and it comes free and cleans up easy!

Fantastic!

After seeing that I went ahead and tried it with a jet style lighter and it came off! Looks so much better now - thanks for giving me the confidence to do it!

I received an email from Ryan at intime and the only difference he mentioned was the crown engraved into the crystal at 6 o'clock.

If that is the only change I guess I'll just stick with my V3. If there are other changes anyone is aware of please post them.

This link results in "Product is no longer available". It is/was V3

Looking more closely at the lettering, I see the "1" in 1200 m in serif. So no longer the "I" but "1". I don't want to paste a picture from the intime site here, so take a look at the dial at his site and tell me if I'm just imagining it?

Sir macarone that looks clean. After 4 years I’ve gotten used to the cyclops on the SD43, but I do wish rolex had left the SEA-DWELLER sans cyclops. Historically it was an SD design trait.

They were both up when I contacted Ryan, maybe that email prompted him to take the old one off.

I was just wondering if there was a big enough difference to consider the new one. Doesn't sound like there is

Picking this old thread up to hear about your experiences and opinions gentlemen :)

Comparing my ARF SD43 from 2018/2019 (V3?) with the V4 I found out, that the bezel insert colour on the V4 is not as dark as the older one. In comparison I can't unsee it, now that I know. Did you see that as well on yours ?
Thanks for your input guys!

Wow. The OG SD43 thread with the very first example by ARF. Bringing’ me back 😎

@maplesirup one thing to note is the numerals darker a bit over time. It helps to clean it with soapy water occasionally. It’s more common on GMT with those bigger numerals 😉

thanks for your message mate!

Actually I was talking about the black colour of the insert itself, it is somehow a tad grayish where as on the older one it is pretty dark black. I know it might be hard to see, I will try to get some better comparison shots tomorrow in the daylight

Ah sorry. You should be able to just swap bezels. Both ARF. Both gen construction
