Today I present you in Cooperation with PureTime and Noob the new Rolex 216570 Polar Review.
So first of all let me say a Big Thanks to PureTime (Angus) and his Team! They did as always an Amazing and fast job!
So let me set some things clear before we start with the Review!
1. All Watches that I get for the Review I order self by the TD
2. I paid the same Price for the Watches as all People pay (TD site Price)
3. Why I do this? It's Fun for me! I like to Compare all the little differences. And wanna share this with you (RWI People)
So let's go on with the Review...
My first impression of the Polar was wow! What a nice New Rehaut...
This is so far the best 216570 Case that are on the Market!
But it wouldn't be an Rep if we don't find any Flaws
So let's come to the Details
Start from the Outside to the Inside.
CASE Shape:
Noob have updated their Machines,
Because the Case Shape is since the Noob SubC v6s absolute Perfect!
The Edges are Perfect and also the Brushed Lines.
CASE CGs:
The Case is really one of the Best Cases that are on the Rep Market!
The Crown Guards are now near Perfect.
In Comparison with the GEN 216570 the CGs are marginal smaller. But this are only a few Hundertstel.
This is not visible with the Naked eye.
CASE Rehaut:
We all know that Noob have spend a lot of $$$ into new Rehaut Engraving Machines.
And that they can reproduce now the Double Engraved Rehaut.
So at the 216570 we can see these nice Double Engrave now.
But they didn't Polish the Rehaut, to an shinny Bright Rehaut.
So the Rehaut have little to dark look, it´s not so dark as the first Noob SubC v6s Batch.
But it´s also not so Bright as on the New Noob YM.
This Time the ROLEX ROLEX is a little bit better readable because the Double Engrave have an more inner Dark in the Text.
And the Rehaut Finish self is a little bit more like an Satin shape.
The Depth of the Rehaut self is very nice.
All in all the Rehaut is not Bad but they need a little bit more Shine.
CASE ENGRAVE:
The Case Engrave looks same as on the Noob SubC v7.
It looks a little wookey but it's ok.
It´s hard to notice also if you use the Watch at an Perlon Strap.
CASE Lugs:
Noob have learned after their big fail at the SubC v7.
But the Lugs (end) could be a little Bit more rounded.
The different is for the most People not noticable.
The shape self is Absolute Nice, same as the GEN have.
CASEBACK:
There is an Update from the back of the Caseback.
The Polished ring is now smaller and near same as the GEN.
The inside Engraves are so far Correct.
And it has same Quality as the last Noob Watches had.
BEZEL:
The new Bezel is Absolut AMAZING!
They did an new Finish at the Bezel, the Sunburst Shape is now near 1:1 with the GEN.
Also the Numbers have now the right size and font.
Only thing that didn´t was changed is the hard edge at the Bottom of the Bezel, this is at the GEN more rounded.
Otherwise these is the best 216570 Bezel i ever saw after the GEN.
SEL FIT:
The Sel Fit between the Lugs is good.
The height is an step backward :-/ it sits a little bit like the Noob 216570 v1.
So when you feel over the Sel you have the feeling that the Sel and the Lugs are at one hight. This must be changed in the upcoming Batches!
The GEN seems so as would the Sel and Lug be at one hight, but there is an little little different in hight and you can feel an little Edge if you go with the finger over it.
BRACELET SEL:
The Sel middle Part is Absolutely Amazing!
No roundings, and sharp as the GEN.
But the Brushings etc looks all very nice.
The Engrave btw the SEL is also good. Same Quality as on the v6s, v7 Bracelets from the SubC
But the Sel shape is an little Bit to massive! so you´ll have these flat feeling between Sel and Lugs.
I have test the Noob 216570 v2 Bracelet at the new Case and with this the Sel sits deeper, but it sits a little too deep.
CLASP:
The Clasp is also updated but have some Plus and minus.
The gap between the Clasp and Fliplock is now better.
The Inside of the Blade is Polished same as the newer GEN Models have.
But the Crown at the Fliplock have changed to an Fantasy Crown. The old Noob 216570 v2 Crown looks better.
Otherwise the Clasp is ok.
CHS:
The long awaited NEW CHS
The NEW CHS is Based at an 2824 Movement.
That means the Time setting doesn't work as on the GEN.
It works same as on all 2824/36 Movements. (Anti Clockwise)
New is the jumping Hour Hand.
If you set the Crown to Position 2 you can set the Date over the Hour Hand jump.
This works near same as on the Gen.
You must turn the Hour Hand 24h forward and the Date Jumps over to the next Day.
CASE Movement Fitting:
The Base Case is based at an 2836 Case so Mike (Misikpied) told me that the GEN3186 or an Converted Yuki have near the same Stem hight Position as the 2836.
So an GEN3186 or an Converted Yuki must fit into that case. But you need when an new Movement Holder for this 216570 because the GEN have an 3187 build in.
The Case is 42mm and not 40mm as the GMT2c. If the 3187 have also the same Stem hight i didn´t checked.
So if you wanna go Franken at these Watch then you are on the right way! This would be the best Based.
NEW CHS MOVEMENT:
YES!!! I would say they did it!
So we don´t have long time Experience now! But in my Eyes the Movement is absolute Stable.
The Movement self is Based at an A2824 that is Decorated from the Back.
I had think since the first Time i saw the Watch that they had use an A2836 in the Case because the Crown Hight isn´t GEN like, but they didn´t
So they add many new Gears to the Movement and it has nothing to do with the old CHS Movements that was unreliable.
So the Parts are own creations by the Far East People but there should one say that these guys can only Copy things!
In my eyes the Parts have very good Quality and looks absolute Stable.
I am sure that these Parts won´t get Damaged so fast. The Idea is based on the IHS Movement, and this Movement runs now many Years in our GMT´s
So i didn´t want to nagging you guys with all the Watchsmith Movement Philosophy but i would say "They made it!"
So you can´t swap to an ETA Base Plate because they drilled an Extra hole but this isn´t needed in my eyes.
If you feel better with ETA Parts you can swap the most Parts from the ETA2824 to that Movement.
They made also an new Dial Spacer that cover the CHS Gears so that they can´t get loosen.
Plus this Spacer brings the Movement to the right hight so that the Stem Fit Perfect into the middle of the Tube.
So as i said! the Movement looks very reliable. So the Experience we´ll get with the upcoming Future
OLD CHS MOVEMENT:
So i don´t want go now into all the different Watchsmith Details about the both Movements
So you can clearly see that the OLD CHS Movement was Based at an 2836 Movement, and that the Jumping Hour Wheel wasn´t so nice as at on the NEW CHS Movement.
The Gears could get easy to an different Position and so the Movement End up into an fall out (Broken Gears/Movement)
As i said already the New CHS Parts seems much more reliable.
HANDS:
The Hands have also change now to the CHS. This means they have the same stack now as the GEN (Hour,GMT,Min,Sec)
So with this the Hands hole outer side got also smaller, but not so small as the GEN.
The GMT and Hour Hand is Special and Fit only at the CHS Movement.
Also at the CHS Movement don't Fit any IHS Hands! Only the Minute and Second Hand can be swap for Standard Rep Hands like TC etc.
The cool thing i notice is, that the GMT Hand Inner hole and the Hour Hand Inner hole is near the same size as the GEN GMT Hole.
The GEN GMT Hole is a little Bit smaller and don´t Fit directly to the Movement. But i am sure i can add the GEN GMT Hand in 2 ways
to the new CHS Movement.
The Hands self are not that Bad, but there is Potential to get them nicer.
The Orange of the GMT Hands is brighter as on the GEN.
GMT Hand Tip is a little Bit to long.
GMT Triangle hole is bigger as on the GEN.
The Minute Hand is a little Bit to long.
And the Hour Hand is too thin.
But the differents are marginal.
DIAL:
The Dial doesn't change. It's the same Dial that Noob had used for there 216570 v2
So the Print is ok but complete to thin.
The Orange EXPLORER Text is too bright and not thick enough, is also miss the Sarif.
The White of the whole Dial is more an Creme tone. Where the GEN is really poor White.
Biggest Point that jump into the eyes are the Black Rims of the Dot, Square and Triangle.
They are much thinner as at the GEN.
To show now all the differences would be too much so i wouldn´t say Fantasy Dial!
Because the complete look of the Dial isn´t Bad!
But it doesn´t have Exactly the same Print as the GEN.

DATEWHEEL:
This is Absolutely nice!
It's perfectly Printed and it's absolute Align.
The Print Emulate the GEN Printed DW.
Also one of the best DWs that are out.
CRYSTAL:
The Crystal has updated also!
The Quality is now much better Especial at the Cyclope.
The rest is same as always, there is no really AR at the Crystal.
But it comes with an LEC. The Magnifier have the Magnifier Effect as the GEN have.
CROWN:
The Crown is the good old knowed Noob Crown.
The Crown Logo and Edges looks same as always
Good...
TUBE:
The Tube is also the same that Noob had use all the Time.
So nothing have changed their.
CONCLUSIONS:
So my Personal Conclusion of the New Noob Rolex 216570 Polar
The wait was worth it! The Watch has as all Reps Pros and Cons.
But we can surly say this is the best Explorer at the Rep Market. The Case got an very good update to the old Noob 216579 v2.
The CGs are now near Perfect, also the Rehaut Engrave is good and Period Correct for these Model.
Sure the Rehaut could be a bit more Shinny but i am sure that this can be fixed at the next Update.
At the most Angles i couldn´t see an Big different to the GEN Rehaut!
So for all the Franken Lovers this will be the Perfect Base Watch!
And for all the Standard Rep Lovers i would say this is absolut the best 216570 Rep that you can get till now.
Only the Sel Fit Hight has nagging me a little, but we can surely say that this Watch could be put into the Super Rep Row.
PROS:
- Accurate Base Case with nice Rehaut Engraving
- GEN like Bezel
- Accurate Shape at Case and Bracelet
- CHS Movement
- Perfect DateWheel Overlay
CONS:
- Sel Fit could be a little bit better
- Dial (Print, Rims, Squares, Lume)

This is so far the best 216570 Case that are on the Market!
But it wouldn't be an Rep if we don't find any Flaws
