I bought this GEN 25 years ago in Milan Italy. Does anybody know what year it my be? I think they told me it was a 1974?
Would appreciate it.
Current Value maybe would be good to know also. I think I paid around 2000.00 for it.
My best friend at the time bought a 1970's sunburst dial that was beautiful!!!

Looks to be a 79160 and would have a manufacture year around 1995. Current asking prices I have seen are $7000 to $8000. The serial number would pin down the year.

I am going to double check, But I bought it like 1990 I believe maybe even before bc I got married in 1991 and had this watch before that, maybe even before and I think they told me it was 1970’sh bc my buddy bought one the same day and it was late 1968-1970 if I remember correctly.
Where’s would the serial be? On the bracelet or casing?
I had it serviced and the seals re done 2 times at an AD Rolex store.

The serial number is between the case lugs at 6 and the model number between the lugs on the opposite side. The bracelet date code is on the fliplock blade where it rests against the wrist. Bracelet date will be a letter followed by a numeral between 1 and 12.
