£500 to look at something and play with it in your bedroom and living room ?
I’m sure for myself and many others part of the pleasure associated with reps, is actually wearing them in everyday life and enjoying them.
im not talking about attempting to pass them off as gens, but actually being able to enjoy them.
£500 for a rep that looks like a tangerine that anyone would be embarrassed to be seen wearing is just bizarre, but it’s ok because it’s a VSF.
I just don’t get all this VSF fanboy stuff, they’ve in my mind been elevated to a god like status when there are other options that in many cases are a better option.

Meh, I'll get that rep plated someday. it's just one in a collection, I don't have enough arms or days in the week to wear them.

VSF gold colour is nothing like the original in tone or warmth, they improved it slightly but it was still awful. Other factories have plating that’s far closer, but none have got it spot on.
dont know if they’ve sorted the hands on their 126613 but on their 116613 it had big fat hideous hands.

No no.. that was the very 1st VSF116618, bought as soon as it was announced way earlier this year. The colour is bad but I'll get it fixed, no big deal.

As far as I know VSF fixed the colour in the later batches of 116618, I have seen two examples of VSF116618 beside gen 116618 and they are near identical. Hopefully these 126's are the same.

Tangerine gold was an issue early on that seemed to be fixed already before the shutdown..

My VSF looks quite spot on next to my gen. YMMV.

This is a great post. Thanks. The colours do look the same and I am not 100% sure which one is the genuine. What a great replica.

Lighting can really affect the colours in photos. A comparison like this is the best way to judge the true colour of the VSF gold plate.

Now that I study it. I think the CGs are a little bit off, as well as the shape/length of the lugs on the mid case… but now we’re being the nitpickers lol
