5980 is a fat boy itself even for a gen, but this one is even fatter...

GEN
The case diameter measures 44mm(including the 'ears'), which is actually just 2mm larger than the ref. 5711. While the ref. 5980 measures 12.6mm in height, it feels more hefty and thicker than all other Nautilus models.
that date wheel is an eyesore.
They should stick to their clone movement and improve it before they rush other mediocre pieces...
Guys, I have come up with a masterplan.
We spend all this money modding each and every watch, shaving casebacks and what not. But why mod the watch when in this day and age, medical technology is such that we can mod the person!
All we need to do is find a qualified surgeon in a cheaper country (I hear Angola is good value) who will shave a caseback-shaped crater into our wrist. Problem solved! On the wrist the watch will look slim and Gen like, while all the excess caseback is hidden in our newly designed body cavity.
Who's with me?
Man, you took it to ANOTHER level with that suggestion. I'm actually lost for words...
Glad to help. It wouldn't be the first time I've hidden a watch in a body cavity either; good ol' Vietnam!
Wow, which version is this? Undecorated 7750, not even a Patek style rotor, and that dial colour is like the contents of a baby’s nappy!
Sheesh!
