I had such high hopes for this watch. It does seem however that the case is much lighter in tone than the gen. Maybe DMSL Titanium has a much darker tone than normal Ti.

i was thinking the same

(i'm not 100% it's the gen but ... i think so) and on this video the case appear much lighter than the panerai pics , so i think it's depend on the lighting ??

very difficult to have a real vision of this case tone


and a part from the case tone, the dial tone seems a lighter more "greenish" on the VSF than the gen , or it's me ?

The case formation technology is different, the color is expectedly different. Sandblasting can be done in different ways, color varies. Titanium octo is quite dark, for example. On the other hand, it is too difficult to assess without comparison in similar lighting. I think we'll be sharing a lot of photos and finding out. Anyway, according to my taste, even as it is, this is probably the best 44mm Luminor 1950 in recent years.

Oh nevermind, they seem to put that remark on all the PAM listings. Made it seem like there wasn't going to be lume on certain parts of the dial where there should be.
