No, it's not a problem rep vs gen. When I wear a watch of 18,5mm thickness, my shirt can't pass over it, it's so massive... with their knowledge and technology, 14mm would have been so much better ...

im like 99% sure they just put a random number there, this cant be 18mm thick, VSF use the exactly the same movement on other reps, they're not 18mm thick

I have the 661 and the case/movement they’ll be using for the 1661 will no doubt be the same, the 661 is just over 16mm thick, still slightly thicker than the Gen but the rep certainly won’t be 18.5mm thick!

So the 438 and 661 are similar case styles and listed as 18.5mm. I believe the gen 438 is 14mm or 14.5. Can we confirm what the thickness is, there’s no way it can be 18.5.

Minus the 0.07mm the 661 is 16.5mm not 18.5mm
Worst case scenario (pardon the pun) the case will be the same for the 1661.
Also, want to add, that the crystal on the 661 has a slight dome to it, if you measure from the top of the bezel not top of the crystal to the bottom of the caseback the thickness is 14.5mm or just slight over. I'll see if I can take a better pic to show that..

VSF is killing me lately with all the releases but this one is a beauty perfect size and such a nice look. Hopefully the new strap stye is not too stiff
