My dealer also confirmed that the actual measurement is 41.5mm (see screenshot below)

johnlogan - lol.
Thanks for wasting everyone’s time. If you’re in denial about your fake watches (in their fake boxes) being non gen spec, then that’s fine, just don’t waste everyone else’s time by spreading misinformation.

Whatsapp convo from my dealer:

Omega measurements for the Aqua Terra is including the crown. This due to the sunken crown guard / case. GMT is bigger than the AT150m GMT REP is 43mm, GEN spec.

I will chime in and support @johnlogan

I'll admit, my knowledge is limited, but I thought Omega bucked the trend and include the crown in their measurements.

I own neither watch but I swear I read this somewhere ages ago.

Include the crown on your fake measurement on your fake watches bro!

Yes I did. See post #224. And see post above email from fat Tim. Apparently factory understand that GMT case is not gen spec

I don’t know man. Fat Panda (RWG TD) is claiming that he spoke to the factory and they accept that the GMT case is WRONG (regardless of over or under crown measurements)....see above email screenshot.

You have both watches, can you spare the time to take the various measurements and post side by side pictures to clarify the confusion.

Worst case we are comparing apples & oranges. Different suppliers. My AT150m is 41,5mm from PT. My GMT is 43mm also from PT. I don’t have the 150m at hand as I keep it in my other office location. The GMT from PT is GEN spec.

I'm not totally sure but remember reading it somewhere that Omega cases is measured between 2-8 and not at 3-9 with or without crown, just to exclude the "crownguards" inlfuence on the diameter on the case.
Might be wrong on this but as I haven't got my watch in yet I can't check it myself.

Since when is the case supposed to be measured with the crown? My gen AT and SMP, both of which are 41mm, I measured them both, excluding the crown, and I get 41mm. If with the crown, it would obviously be over 41mm.

If the rep is measured with the crown and you get the gen spec, that still means the rep is off. Should be measured minus the crown.

There is no certified rule on how to measure watch cases. Even on GEN forums people are confused on Omega sizes. There is an expose somewhere online that states the Aqua Terra GMT is 43mm including crown. My REP is just that.

Further other states to use 2 / 8 for measuring - My GMT is 43mm using that method as well. I.e GEN specs.

Pls post pics to to back up your statement for the AT150m.

Regardless of how we measure the case, the factory has confirmed that the case is wrong and will release a new version in a few months.

So I think it’s safe to assume GMT is not gen spec, until somebody can prove otherwise

Well I guess we got one super rep instead of two...better than nothing!

But yes I am a little disappointed as I like the 41.5mm but would prefer the slightly bigger GMT.

My man, would you be so kind as to measure between 2/8 on your AT.

There is no certified rule on how to measure watch cases.

I don't know what seems to be the problem.
Omega says:
Omega_AT.jpg

My caliper says 41.5 mm without crown (pictures few pages back)
According to that, it is safe to conclude that Omega uses same measurement as the rest of the watch world - without crown.

GMT is not GEN Spec! The watch is several mm smaller in diameter and 1mm in 2/8! I stand corrected.
