Alright. The caliper came in. It’s not easy holding this steady and taking the pictures but here it is

Roughly 41mm from 8 to 2 and approximately 43 mm including crown

thanks for the pictures and measurement.

Could you please also share the side view of the watch? to see the side surface of the gold plated mid links? it would be better to do double check if the mid link has all surfaces gold plated. or only gold please on the surface of top, bottom, front, back.( not the right and left side surfaces)

I mean the gen has the mid links all the surface of mide links gold plated. but it seems like the rep’s the side surface of rep mid links reveal the naked stainless steal color.

Thanks for taking the time to measure it marco130 and it shows that the factory is using the same middle case on both the GMT and the AT.
I might be the only one to not be so sad about this as I really wanted the GMT for my GMT collection but didn't like the bigger size compared of it to the AT witch I think has better proportions.
Now I get an GMT with the size of an AT, ofcourse not gen spec but...

Same here. I'll wait for V2 or something...
If you have GMT collection I would love to hear your suggestions :)

I have listed my VSF AT GMT blue in the sales section if anybody is interested. Been waiting for the VSF planet ocean and it’s time to pull the trigger. ????

marco130 mate, could you please also confirm the thickness of the watch. 14mm?

A hair under 14. I get about 13.85

thanks Marco! so the gmt is about 1.5-2mm thicker than the non-gmt rep version? that is interesting, given almost the same movement and rep using the same mid-case...

Perfect that should end the size discussion.

Lets get back to what variations of dial are coming our way, I see puretime have the black dial green hands, grey dial and also white dial with silver hands...interested to see what else is to come.

vcappp thanks for the info.

What are your thoughts on the VSF GMT in terms of overall quality/feel? The slightly smaller case size would probably suit my wrist better.

For example how is the crystal clarity?

I recently received a VSF CrPO and was blown away with the dial/hands quality. Just wondering if the GMT is of similar quality.

I am also very interested in variations.
The grey color dial of the horizontal teak texture version of Aqua Terra non-GMT exists as genuine, but I am not sure about the vertical teak texture version.

I am trying to find a genuine sample for the grey dial + vertical texture + Aqua Terra non-GMT combination but I could not find yet. Please let me know if you find one.

P.S. grey dial + vertical teak + Aqua Terra combination exists on the previous much older version model which has the thick border frame around the date window.

vcappp very helpful and clear indeed! did you have a chance to measure the thickness also?

Genuine Omega Aqua Terra GMT
thickness: 14.7mm-14.75mm

VSF rep Omega Aqua Terra GMT
thickness: 13.5mm-13.7mm

Genuine Omega Aqua Terra non-GMT
thickness: 13.2mm-13.5mm

VSF rep Omega Aqua Terra non-GMT
thickness: 13.3mm-13.5mm

P.S. sometimes, thickness may vary, it is possible to have +-0.1mm~0.3mm difference (even if it is the same model) depending on the position due to the slightly dome shaped glass and its assembly. so this thickness measurement info does not guarantee the perfectness. so someone can say 13.5mm instead of 13.2mm. someone can say 13mm instead of 13.2mm.

VSF Aqua Terra GMT model is pretty amazing in terms of overall quality and feel regardless of the fact that it does not have same case size as genuine.

I also have a small wrist size, I actually like its 41.5mm size. It feels much better than the 43mm size. 43mm size is somewhat chunky feel on a small wrist size.

Thanks @vcappp

Have you got any wrist shots of the GMT (rep)?

I also think that the 41.5mm size would look better.

Here is a couple of pics of the GMT in sunny condition where you can see that the crystal is really good as is.
The blue color of the dial is great, don't see any purple hue in the blue on it.
Really like this watch and it doesn't bother me that is smaller than the gen, it suits my wrist better.

And here is a profile pic with my 6542 GMT.
The Omega AT GMT will stay with me.
