I wonder if the LMPO will ever get the same treatment (i.e new omega 8500 clone movement replacing the okd asian a284?

Typo from the OP, it's 8500, not 8400. The AT is 8500.
No photos of the watch yet though. I wonder if they can pull off the look of the blue dial like how it is on the gen which I have...

If they pull off blue dial to be close to gen I'm buying it right away.
Few days ago I've observed gen in store (didn't wear it though) and my swiss ETA blue Skyfall AT is pretty close to it. Only thing I have issue with mine is that movement isn't properly decorated (understandable).

The blue is uneven on the rep.. It can even look purplish at times from the photos i've seen. And the lines on the dial for the teak is too wide. The lines is thinner and narrower on the gen. I'd be pleasantly surprised if the super clone can get the dial to look right.

Not too bad. This must've been the later ones that were released. The earlier ones were either too light blue or purplish. The one from your photo looks decent. 41.5mm right? The markings on the dial doesn't look as sharp as the gen, but the blue looks good.

Gen is 13.2 thickness. AT wears big - see if you can try a gen before you order.
Actually, this rep was released almost 4 years ago. I bought it from Andrew at TrustyTime. And yes, it's 41.5mm with swiss ETA 2836-2 inside.

it's a different model than the one which VSF is going to rep, just check the date, the new one is lacking the metal frame

I know, imranbecks and I were comparing dial finish from my rep with his gen, not new VSF rep.

WTH, I've linked thumbnails going to full size images on imagebb and now I cannot click on them to get full size image, and can't see links when I try to edit post, only see thumnails.
Anyone have same problem ?

Really really close. I'm wearing my gen 38.5 and the gen looks ever so slightly different (maybe 1% more green, 1% less purple) but that could be because I'm in the office with fluorescent lighting.

Yeah. It's only thumbnails for me as well. But from what I can see, the blue looks really close to my gen. The teak lines are too wide and obvious. On the gen, the teak is a bit more subtle, almost flat and a 3d look to it. And the date font is the tell. Other than that, not bad. Wish I can see it in higher resolution though...
