Neither of these were customers of mine, but both of these trade in's came in today and I'm spewing i didn't make it to the keys in time for either of them!

The first - a 2011 Mercedes Benz SLS. 6000km and purchased new in Sydney for somewhere just short of $AU600k. A lightly scuffed right rear wheel, otherwise showroom condition. Scary quick and sounds absolutely brutal. Trade value - $318k Ouch!

Next was the F430.... The crazy thing about this car is that if it was red, it would have been worth 30k more.... 30 ******* thousand dollars!!! If you buy a Ferrari, buy a red one! 2008 model. Purchased by second owner in 2010 for $AU450k. Trade value - $220k

Heh, you need to be quicker to the keys mate.
I remember the scramble when something good came in at BNE BMW, only time I ever saw sales staff running :)

I had my own little workshop in the tramways building that housed the stock warehouse and it was way over the back behind the trimmers so I rarely beat anyone to anything good. I had use of Bev's ex Le Mans M635 so it wasn't all bad.

I also remember when the night shift apprentices thought taking a 512TR for a late night spin around the Valley was a good idea. Ever heard of CCTV guys? :)

Lol...

Yeh, the last thing you want to do is crash a trade-in, especially when it's been committed to an outside buyer!

Still, I'm not sure if I could help myself in one of these things! They beg to have the accelerator mashed through the firewall at least once every drive... Right?!

Much cooler to drive than you might think... Not very fast, but good fun!

That a Boxter?
Sorry, but if it is
Boxters were invented to keep wankers out of real Porsches.

Doesn't worry me - it's not my car... But it was good fun to drive. It's the boxster spyder PDK with 3.4 911 donk, so it had more poke than a regular boxster...

yeah, that's a step up but the Boxter has failed to impress me so far. It's a modern day 924 to me. Yes it's OK but not at the price point.

$100k? Come on mate... When you look at what they compete with they're not bad. The best resale of the lot too!

It's a personal preference I s'pose, but it was more fun than an M3 - and just as quick, not quite as gay as a TT and has the sensational PDK box... You could easily do worse!

How about an Mcoupe?

Lol

TB, Have you ever driven an M coupe?! Seriously?!

You shod give a Boxster a run... Make sure it's an s or above and push it through some tight stuff. Not overly exciting to look at, but they do handle... Unlike an M coupe! Lol

Had one as a drive car for 3 or 4 months. Loved it. You just need to grab the sucker by the balls and not let it get the upper hand. Much the same way as a Cobra or 930, if you let it think it's in charge it will bite you, get it right however and it's pure sex.

Hmmm, to each their own :)

If you get a chance, take a 1M for a strap. You seem to like your Beemers, so you'll definitely get a hoot out of that!

I'd rather have a GT-R to be honest. An Aston Martin wouldn't be so bad either.

Wow in a couple of posts you managed to mention 3 of my all time favourite cars:
I had three 930 turbos including an 89 5 speed.
I lusted after the original 427 Cobra for years.
Now have an M3 DCT - a stunning drive.

Never fancied a Boxster - always seemed a bit too "hairdresser" but a great drive by all accounts.
