Far as I’ve seen and read, Deep only offers 2xAR ?

Buy deep and then use cape cod to polish the AR off the top surface

You can remove it from the outside, I posted a picture awhile back. Best of both I think.

You can do it by yourself but it is not worth because clean is good enough

Luckily we are at the point where stock is good enough but the fact that “too clear” is somewhat of problem to people is hilarious to me.

Nothing better than looking at my Panda and not having to angle my watch a certain way to get rid of the reflections or glare.
If your goal is to get closest to Gen spec then stick to the stock crystal.
If you want to walk around like there’s no crystal in there and blow peoples mind that they can see the dial regardless the angle your wrist is at go with Deep.

If anything 9/10 people have never seen a real Daytona and in my opinion, the fact that the crystal is that clear probably adds to the wow factor that it actually might be Gen because of how good it looks.

There isn't even an after market or gen variant of the end links for the 126500.... so you want a rep factory to be better than Rolex themselves?

Removing the top AR coming from a crystal is just too much work .
But if Prof or Deep offered a single AR (underside) I’d be interested.

Im guessing it’s easier, faster and less labor to coat the entire crystal than just one side. Maybe that’s why they only offer full 2x AR?

I recall Prof offering a single AR crystal. That said, the his 2x ARs just look too good

I just received the Daytona from @Therion666.
It is one of the best reps OOTB that I have ever seen. The last time I was so impressed was when my gen navitimer arrived...
I see absolutely no reason to franken this thing. It is just crazy good.
But it is clearly not my cup of tea. I don't see myself wearing it, so I will post it in the sales section.

Good one. Yeah on Clean the SELs are virgin-tight tolerance

We often talk about gen like…indeed here’s one of the few times where the gen should be more Clean like

The clarity and lack of reflection of deep is nice, but pretty far from gen. I would say that deep is more pretty, but CF is a lot more gen like

what is the big difference pretty far from gen? can you elaborate it? Deep xtal definitely has absolute clarity and the dial pops more but i'm trying to find out more details and educate myself about the so called Not gen like.

Rolex crystals are pretty cloudy and reflective, so the clarity and non-reflectivity of deep is pretty far from gen. I love my 116 panda with deep, but my 126 panda with CF is much more like gen.

Ahh i see! so it's only the AR coating that is the big difference. . . i was wondering about is it something to do with the xtal height that protrude too much or the edge of the xtal or so on . . . thanks for the info!
