Lurker for some months here, decided to join so i could post a quick review on the ZZF 114060 V3 bought a few weeks ago.
I was a gen owner of a collection of subs, DJs, oyster perps and a few Tudor, who recently got rid of almost all of it, to replace the collection of gens with a collection of super reps.
Why? because Ruck Folex and its recent policy of artificial scarcity and skulduggery with grey market dealers.
So far i am pretty happy of this ZZF V3. The mov is running smooth, at a stable +5s/day. Out of Cosc, but the fact that it is stable is the most important detail.
Everything is almost perfect, dial and hands are beautiful, except :
-The crystal (when you have a sharp eye the crystal is far from the gen quality, there are lots of ghost images depending on the light, there is a picture below showing this. (ok, this also can happen with a gen sub but less dramatically)
-The bezel insert is very good on some angles, then can become too "light greyish washed out" in low light, and too shiny.
-The bezel itself is weird, the colour is slightly different from the rest of the watch, as it was some different stainless steel.
-The crown guard is not the best, but i can deal with it no problem.
Apart from that, everything is superb.
Bracelet is a "Clean Factory SS bracelet cooperated with AR Bracelet factory", and it is almost perfect, extremely close to gen visually, and to the feel after i cleaned it up with a toothbrush, warm water and soap.
To sum up : this watch is not a super rep OOTB, i will change the crystal for a gen, the bezel and bezel insert from a gen or maybe a VSF, i will see, then it should be fine. Just going to verify/clean the movement, oil it, replace the complete barrel + mainspring by some gen ones, silicone grease the gaskets, waterproof test it, then it will become a super rep.
Nikz19 will do this work for me, i will drop a review once it's done.
