The noisy rotor at a PAM is not because of the 7750 movement. The noise is because of the P.9000 deco plates at the movement. The rotor must sit very high over the bearing and that fact makes the rotor wobbly and noisy. The Asian rotor bearing is not the best and not made for this extra stress.

OF COURSE, this noisy rotor is a specific problem of your watch
Usually A7750 rotors are more noisy than Seagull. But decoration of movements produces additional issues like that
Try to get the help of a watchsmith before nothing, maybe some oiling or a little adjustment is enough
Anyway that is a very "small" problem for a rep. Try to understand it.

ALE

Its nice to know that the Seagull movement is not inherently noisy. At least I don't have to pay for a more expensive movement to avoid that. As said, I already accepted the fact that some reps can be duds... just the luck of the draw and for a buyer like me, its quite a pity as the local watch smiths won't touch a rep :(
I'm now down 3 reps that needs attention, sigh

Not complaining but stating my predicament... anyway, apologies to the OT for hijacking this thread

Thanks Chris for the rotor shots... its a huge gap between the Gen and Reps. Although its a different movement, I can see why it wobbles... at least the watch seem to have a fair power reserve as it goes on for more then 30 hours when I wore it last :) Cheers!

Received a seagull 569 and seagull 389 today, the 389 is super quiet but 569 is pretty loud. luck of the draw I guess.

It's the pin that holds the hands attached to the movement, at the center of the dial.

I have a smaller wrist at 6.25" and while it is big, it's not that much bigger if you've worn a 44mm sub like the PAM243. Being made of titanium helps too. :)
