Oh well, maybe v4 will fix the shape discrepancy between the movement plate and the plastic overlay at the front left two attachment points.

I’m sure someone could CNC one.

But it is hardly noticeable on the wrist. Someone would have to really know this watch and look up close to spot it.

A superb rep, IMVFHO, especially at 1/500 the price

Well, well, well, what do we have here🥹 SZF Factory, released on PT a couple of days ago, free sprung……….. What do we think of this new release? Is this the start of the pricing starting to come down…

This movement appears to share some DNA with the one used in the RMF, looks very similar (SZF on left, RMF on right)

Judging by the pictures, the overall quality of this build (case, crystal, deco) is noticeably lower than the ZF, APSF and RMF releases despite the price tag. I don't think this one is worth the premium for the free-sprung balance wheel

The finishing is dogshit from first sight. I would say 100% not worth it

Finish looks rough, brushed portions of the ribs need a serious calorie deficit and the overall look appears to be dirty/greasy.

Implement this upgrade into a ZF and it would be worth considering IMO.

Unless you want to fool people i would prefer a stable and proven regulator over some free sprung balance freestyle mechanism.

I was told personally that this is basically an older (v1/v2 aps/zf 055 clone) with free sprung upgrade.
so called "fake vaucher" has been coming up to the market aswell with same movement and freesprung upgrade. even with the new zf v3 movement it would work too.

fyi the zf movement can be modified to be freesprung (for around 6000rmb/850usd after conversion) which is still much cheaper than the vaucher movement.

I will not provide contacts since forum rules (non-td etc) but ask any reputable dealer/custom dealer they should be able to source you something.
but I WAS going to build one base on the newer v3 zf clone, however its just not as good looking compare to the vaucher movement
(personally since I have friends who be rolling gen RMs and seen the real deal)
its gonna look something similar to this (top is original ZF/APS version clone, bottom i believe should be RMF/YSF or the new SZF Movement)

Apologies for the newbie question but are the ZF RM055s durable? I’ve read about people saying you take your chance but I’d hope that they would have decent longevity at $800+. Thanks in advance.

They are amazing. Have mine for now almost 6 months and still runs perfect.

I have two, dailied both for months and they're rock solid. I'm careful and don't bang it against stuff, but there are folks on here who mountain bike with theirs and they still run just fine.

Guys can you confirm that the ribs on the ZF v3 are not finished in the same way as gen and therefore do turn black as the watch is moved ?
