As far as I know RMF (or YSF — I think they’re the same factory) are not using the Dandong RMUL2 movement. I’m not sure which factory makes the RMUL2 movement used by RMF/YSF, but I strongly suspect it’s the Shanghai movement factory. It’ll be interesting to see if there are reliability issues discovered between these two movements down the road — remember the broken setting lever issues that SH3285 movements had when they were first released?
Yes im also curious how the movement will hold up.

It's not bashing if one says the frosted ribs aren't accurate, and no one if forcing us to buy this release, if you don't like it you wait.
My four year old v1 ZF has proper brushed ribs that are either black or shiny depending on wrist angle.
Sure, if the watch is brought up to your face one can see it's just decoration on top of an off the shelf movement, but at normal distance it looks more genuine than this version.

Ok let me ask this question on the R.M. 055 white ceramic…puretime has it for $888 and intime06 lower their price to $888 too…both list it as zf 1:1, RMUL2 movement so I assume they get it from the same company and measurements should be identical, is that correct? Also puretime states it may take 7-10 days for the transfer to be received before they can verify the payment. Intime takes one day. Make me nervous that it takes puretime that long to verify payment…anyone experienced doing a wire transfer to pure time and did it take that long.

Jokes aside, I was a bit annoyed by all the post in this thread bashing this release.
And why people wait because of the ribs, etc. Look where the RM reps came from. And still people are judging this watch based on pictures they see online zoomed etc. Let me tell you this for the ceramic 055 zf nailed it big time. Buy it see it then write here what you dont like else zip it with those useless zoomed in comments. No rep will ever be a gen. I havent seen one yet. Just look at this Amzing watch thank you for the video

Glad you're happy with your purchase. But I hope you don't get easily annoyed by the rep bashing that goes on around here. Probably 50% of the posts are people hyping a rep (some to the point that I wonder if they get paid by the factories), and the other 50% critiquing it.

I think critiques have a place. People complained about ZF's splotchy paint job on the ribs and dull NTPT pattern, and RMF and APSF quickly came out with RM055 reps that saw improvements in those areas and at a lower price point. This led to ZF lowering its price, as well. Seems like the bashing worked and factories addressed the issues.

Those that bought early or like the ZF for other reasons got a nice watch (and the white ceramic you have is certainly a dazzler). Those that waited a bit have a better selection at a lower cost. Win-win for bashing, as far as I can tell.

All the dealers here get the watches from the same factories, so a ZF from puretime is the same ZF on intime. Can't help you with the wire transfer question, as I only do credit cards for some ability to get my money back, but my payment transactions with puretime have been pretty quick. Shipping has been another matter, as sometimes a watch shows in-stock but it actually takes them many weeks to receive it from the factory to ship.

Are you serious? the ribs are the least of your problems. there are far more obvious tells then the ribs especially when on the wrist. So at what point are you going to buy this watch? once it turns into a gen? once all the flaws are fixed?

Just look at the first post on this page and find the flaws that are far more obvious, just circle them its a nice game for these cold nights.

No offense here but if you keep using the word ribs you deserve some slapping :D

Lol, first you lash out against everyone that's brought up some of the more glaring flaws in this rep, then you lash out at me for pointing out that you have a nice watch while at the same time noting that critiques can be useful. I'm glad you have such a boner for the ZF version of this watch, but no need to demean others for having the patience to wait a bit until there's more choice. If everyone just bought v1 of a watch, there wouldn't be much use for the discussions in this forum, would there?

So no offense here, but how about you enjoy your overpriced rep while I enjoy my less expensive and better-looking version?

I think the winding feel and strap comfortability/quality is better on the ZFs but tbh for how much cheaper this is, and the great ntpt it’s an awesome watch and buy.
Both look beautiful….how thick is case on the rmf.

Hey Venom, so I don't really want to tell you the bad news but based on your posts it seems you think the RMF 055 you received was the new one that was released last month with the clone movement. I'm sorry to say but the RMF 055 you received is one of the old ones that has been released for more than a year. It is not the clone movement one. So really it can't be compared to the ZF 055 with the clone movement.

If you expected to get the new RMF 055 that was released last month with the clone movement you should contact the seller and let them know. The version you received is much cheaper now ($300) because its not clone movement. The new RMF is around $500 with clone movement.

all depends on eyesight. also the way its tilted. on the first pic you cant even see it properly being brushed lol.

To all, just enjoy the reptime we live in. either it be with a ZF or something else... cheers on the weekend boys! 🍻

Yeah, I was double and triple checking myself when you said it was the RMF with the clone movement when I commented above. I didn't want to press the issue since you seemed very sure, but yeah the RMF version you have has the old movement in it -- easiest way to tell is comparing the position of the escape wheel between your ceramic and NTPT. Ceramic version (with new movement) has the escape wheel quite close to the center, the old movement has the escape wheel considerable further "south".
