Try putting it in a salt bath for an hour or 3 and see how it comes out

Also a ZF V4? Wish mine would look like that. Color seems totally fine and also has a nice patina. Care to exchange? hehe
Mine is definately way more red after arrival this week:

by the way... for those using seawater for patina. Look up bronze disease. The saltwater causes a reaction that actually corrodes the bronze.

This criticism of the rosy color in specific factory bronzos makes a bit of a case for the cheapie plated versions.

True that. In this rose gold look the watch looks like the cheap rose gold plated one

as it would shows, ZF is not consistent in their products. I personally handled 2 variant of PAM312, which differs by a great distance.

Look what happened to a ZF V2 of a ZG-member as he tried to clean it up:

I've seen crooked markers on gen pams so I wouldn't worry too much about that. I've tried everything from egg and ammonia treatment to seawater and leaving it out in the cold rain, they all yield different results, also depending on the metal mix in the bronze. I live in the cold north of scandinavia and left a couple of bronze watches out for a couple of days last winter, it was raining and very cold, almost freezing, they got a very dark and natural looking patina after only two nights outside in my garden, and very different looking from the patina I have gotten from seawater or egg treatment. The fun thing is to experiment with these watches :)

Still waiting for Puretime to reply. Already agreed with them to send back but not sure if I can change to a KW version or just let the money refunded.
No comment on the case material but a "Sorry for inconvenience."
Of course I can´t/don´t want to cut it open or polish more away because I still neeed to return it. But the bezel definately is no bronze. The main case also has a edge with shiny blank metal wich makes it look like it´s also just coated and no full bronze. What do you think?

Besides the fact that it´s really a bad scam to sell it as full bronze if it´s only coated, the thing that pisses me off that I urgently wanted the watch and now this. replacing will probably take long time, if the send back parcel get´s lost, it´s my problem. So either I´ll have to wait and wait or in worst case the money will even be lost.
I wonder what Puretime will do. Leave it like this or contact the maker about the problem? It seems the old ZFac versions were still different and might still been bronze. Because the extreme color change I notived only with my new V4. But I doubt anyone else cut open their bronzos before and so noone can tell haha.
But a lot of people were cleaning and bathing their watches in all kinds of liquids to make patinas before. And I only gave it 2 lemonjuice baths and this happens. I wasn´t using acid! haha

Hmmmm now I'm suspecting you were sent the gold (bronze) plated version and not the full bronze version.

Here's mine after 3 hrs on the beach and I also dabbled it with some salt water. It was just given a citrus bath prior so it was 100% clean just right before this.

This is a KW with seagull movement and latest version.

A beauty! I want mine too. Aaargh!
Maybe they messed up the cases in Factory? What factory makes the plated ones? I only saw a rose gold plated one before. But that one had a 21J movement.

hope it will turn out well for you!
Thanks. I ´ve send it back to PT yesterday. Wonder how long it will take to replace and what watch I´ll get then. But probably more than a month, I guess

Suggest you absolutely confirm you want a new watch. I've had bad experiences where I ask that a watch be replaced only to find it was instead fixed poorly by the dealers watch maker. In this case the problems would be hard to fix but still suggest you firmly let the dealer know exactly what you expect.

As above sid by Perri, be careful with the return of the watch and inform delaer about what you are expecting in order to avoid disappointments

Anyway, if you were afraid about the colour, patina and composition of the material, why din't you buy a KW version?

As commented many times, here and in all the forums, the bronze material of KW 382 was analyzed in Spain some months ago, with nice results very similar to gen material

Yes, I made clear in the return form that I don´t want a repair but want to change to the KW.
I was thinking between KW or ZF back then. Because the ZF was aisd that the neweset version was slightly better in case, just the material slightly more red I decided for the ZF. Should have taken the KW back then. My mistake. I didn´t expect the color to be THAT different. Also because pics of ZFs always looked OK. Maybe only the V4 is flawed like this and plated. Not sure.
I doubt that Puretime will even comment on the plated or not problem. Not sure if they will report it to the maker. Maybe nothing happens.
