But now in the beginning of the month should it be rising? And it looks like it rises from the left side, like I set it...

It's a moon phase, not a weather setting

Set it just like your date (but on the left side of the case) to position the moon graphic so a little more than a sliver remains visible on the right side, like the pic below. You have to give it a start point that matches the actual moonphase. Once set it will continue to depict the real moonphase (crescent, quarter, half, full, etc.)

The black is amazing, mostly for the dial. The very subtle only just there, sunburst is so gen like . It works by reflecting slightly to the back of the crystal. The look of that dial in certain light is incredible.
