Sorry guys. I'll take the heat for pointing out some tells. JLC reps are easy to spot, and this one has several. See the last two pics in the imgur, and focus on the moon subdial, hands, printing, and markers. OK, here we go:

* Blue seconds hand has stains, which is impossible on this model unless it took a dunk in the ocean. It seems it's a poor paint, which means poor paint jobs will continue to flake and oxidize.
* Printing on "AUTOMATIQUE" should be flat, straight, and sit above the guilloche.
* Printing of days of the month (1, 2, 3... 30, 31) are (sorry fam!) bad. Several numbers bleed over the edge like Dali's Persistence of Memory. Spacing between the dates and dots is inconsistent - sometimes a bit left (see right of the 13), other times centered (between 23 and 12), but they mostly skew left.
* Man. This one cannot be unseen. Check out the minute markers, especially the 7 marker. It's dirty either from oxidizing or just dirt. It, along with several others, are 'lifting' from the dial - they should be flat and have an absolute mirror finish.
* "SWISS" is incorrect font and the ink bled a bit making the letters blobby. "D" in MADE is too fat.
* Took a quick look at the movement. The balance cock (the arm that holds the balance wheel) is just wrong. See gen, about half way down: [http://www.jaeger-lecoultre.com/us/...es/master/master-ultra-thin-moon/1368420.html). You'll see the balance cock has a cut out for a blued screw, and two small pin holes, which hold down the arm to a plate. This is not present. Owners will spot this immediately imo.

**Anyway... I think we need to let the factories know these things. They actually listen to their buyers, and can make adjustments. It's a fun hobby. But, the finishing on this one needs work.**

I took delivery of the watch yesterday, swiss made the writing outside the criticism I will not participate, the only mistake I see is swis made printing mistake

Just wondering what the strap lengths are for this watch in the normal strap size? I know widths are 21/18mm.. any help would be much appreciated!

6.0 - 6.5” wrist (150 - 164mm) = 120/70mm
6.6 - 7.0” wrist (165 - 178mm) = 125/75mm
7.1 - 7.5” wrist (179 - 190mm) = 130/80mm
7.6 - 8.0” wrist (191 - 203mm) = 135/80mm
8.1 - 8.5” wrist (204 - 216mm) = 140/85mm
8.6 - 9.0” wrist (217 - 229mm) = 145/90mm

Maybe they only sold 10-20 on the forums but the real business is outside the forums. Maybe they build a custom batch of 10000 for an investor in Asian .... and Sold only a handful on the forum?

I know it is hypothetical, but where might that investor plan to sell those watches? I doubt the average Joe buying reps in market stalls would be prepared to pay $200+ for a rep, which is why I'm curious.

I don’t know man....Angus said that forum buyers only make 5% of factory sales. Which means 95% factory stock is sold elsewhere.

The factories are all about money. They will not develop a new release to sell 10-20 reps.

They could have sold a large batch to an international dealer and signed an “exclusivity of sales” agreement with that dealer. Hence factory won’t sell the watch to anybody else until (for example) the dealer has sold out his stock. This type of arrangement is not unusual in business.

Who knows, the Dealer could be selling these as gens.....or at a much higher rate. People won’t suspect anything if the market isn’t flooded with these reps.

Anyways, I’m just guessing man.

What I was trying to say is that in my opinion it's really weird that they discontinue soon after they release it, especially when they tell to TDs that a new batch is coming.

But honestly the replica world never ends surprising me, in a good and bad way.

Yes maybe you are right, but how many times has this happened in the replica world? Look for example at Noob factory. For years they produced the best submariners which is the holy grail of replica watches and they never discontinue it nor signed exclusivity of sales. They improved it with new versions V5, V6, V7...

I'm just trying to analize the situation logiìcally but I can be totally wrong.

can´t believe they stop it after putting that much effort in this Watch and Movement...But that exclusive thing and selling some thousands to an international Dealer could also be true.
Fuck i hope we all get our Order....after that they can burn the rest down hahaha :evil:
