Hi guys,

So far I have rejected two IW371446 watches from ZF (V3). I want to share my findings, and hopefully get some feedback on whether or not my critisism is justified.

The first two pictures are of the first watch that I received pictures of. To me it was pretty noticeable that the 2nd '1' (right one) of the number 11 was shorter than the first '1' (left one), which was why I asked for other angles or a new watch. The QC departement confirmed it was a flaw and promised to send pictures of a new one.

These two pictures are of the second watch that I received pictures of. The number 11 is perfect on this one. However, I swiftly noticed that the number 1 and number 10 are misaligned and requested a new watch.

I realize that it is a replica watch and it will never look exactly like the genuine version. However, if I compare the pictures that I received to the pictures advertised on the website, I felt my concerns were justified: https://www.intime03.co/iwc/2739-por...rap-a7750.html

This is my first replica watch purchase, so I am wondering if anyone with more experience could let me know whether I'm too picky or whether my concerns were justified.

Many thanks.

You will swiftly notice a mood change of your TD

Your concerns are justified - maybe you will get lucky.. the 1s and 11s are usually problematic for the Portuguese watches..

you can go for the annual calendar instead, which does not have these numerals - problem solved..

Same problem with watches with pearl pips, watches with a double line II at 12.. reps can be close to perfect if you are lucky but many times they are not..

You need to draw more lines horizontally. You have adequate reference points vertically but the issue may be elevation artifacts. Please re-post with vertical lines. I think the second watch was ok.

I CAN'T see anything wrong with the second watch !!!

It looks good to me too but until I can analyze the possibility of an angular artifact via horizontal lines I can't be sure. OP, please draw horizontal lines 11 to 1, 10 to 2 and 8 to 4.

Not sure about a analysis of angular efect by horizontal lines is LOL .If that means the angle the of the picture taken of the watch may be giving him some unnecessary concerns i agree LOL. However using my bionic eyes the postion of the markers look correct to the dealers linked pictures, and to me they all look straight and in the correct position . I 'm assuming he means the 10 marker is too low compared to it's opposite 2 marker ??? However if you look at the 10 marker in isolation it is in the correct postion and straight , as is the 2 marker . The camera angle makes the ten marker look lower but if you put a horizontal line across they are spot on . The '1' marker is in the correct position when looked at in isolation , i'm not sure if the guy doesn't think it is straight ??? However again this is the camera angle using the same method as used on the 10 marker it looks cock on . I would have accepted the watch ! Anyway he asked for peoples tenpenneth and that is mine .

Zoom the QC picture to 'REAL' size .... look at it at 2 feet distance ... if you can see the 'flaws' (without the ficking lines) .... then reject the watch.

IF NOT THEN ACCEPT.

People buying gen ... they don't even do this.

Speak for yourself. We're trying to get to the bottom of a serious problem. If you're not part of the solution then you are part of the problem. So zip it. anon0104 We need horizontal lines as described above buddy.

Thank you for the replies. I realize my concerns may come across as being picky, however please remember I am comparing the QC pics to pictures of the rep as advertised on the TD's website and not to gen.

The flaw I personally picked up on regarding the 2nd watch, is the misaligned numbers 1 and 10. I used the dot on 12 and 6 to create a reference vertical line, and then duplicated the line to check if the numbers with a vertical line are straight. As you can see in the zoomed in picture, the vertical lines of 11 and 12 are straight. Number 1 and 10 are not straight compared to the vertical line.

I am not quite sure how the horizontal lines would help with my concern as described in the first part of this post, but I went ahead and added them anyway. Please let me know what you think.

Oh my fucking god OP.

You asked if you're too picky? Yes. Yes you are. You are too picky. You are really, really, mega picky.

Where’s the gen pics for a comparison?

anon0104 seems to me this game ain’t for you, you’ll realise that you’re chasing the impossible here, all reps have flaws, that’s just how it is.

but you keep drawing your anal lines, keep rejecting those qc pics, you’ll find yourself on the dealers special list and wonder why your emails don’t get answered :lmao:

Excellent. Look at the horizontal and vertical lines as they cross the center pinion. This is the best example of the angular artifact effect caused by the angle of the camera. You have both depth and elevation artifacts. In short, this watch is perfect. Accept and enjoy.
