ZF Calatrava Officer’s Caseback 5227

ZF continues their Patek trend with the 5227 Calatrava with officer caseback. Looks good and thin to me, enamel dial will be tough to replicate but I’ll buy the ivory dial and try it.

I hope ZF will do a 5205 or 5396. ZF made good date wheels in the Calatravas. They did the functioning moon phase in the JLC ultra thin moon. So potentially they could do a good rep of the 5205 and 5396 with functional moon phase and proper date wheel and fonts of the day/month.

comes due to the reflection of the font itself as the print sits on a clear layer of lacquer... It is its own shadow that makes him appear thicker...

But if i remember correctly an enamel dial is meant to have a kind of depth of the printing...

ZF tends to stick to gen proportions on their lugs and case size. Whatever is gen, will be on the ZF is most likely
