So does the ZF have a worse movement than the 8F?

Sent from the RWI App

Worse I am not sure but clearly not a miyota 9015 as per TD description

This is the Miyota

8F - you can clearly see the Miyota balance bridge on the same side as the crown and its distinctive shape with the 5 engraved lines

ZF - definitely NOT a Miyota 9015 as balance bridge is on the other side. Movement need to be identified but surely a simple decorated Asian 23j

I've ordered this and have approved QC for the blue dial to compare with my gen dial.

I'll pop the back off and take a look at the movement when this arrives.

I agree, especially as the low-end movement is not acceptable in a high-end rep.

20-30$ difference seems normal as our TD offer warranty but not $135

ZF uses often Hangzhou movements (see the Bathyscaphe)

That's great, can't wait for your comparison! I've seen some 'experts' on reddit commenting that the ring around the dial on the every dial variant except the white is different from gen

haha that sounds like my post lol

I own all major gen dial variants at the moment (white, brown, black and blue) for the 4500v so I'll be able to do some nice comparisons. Blue is obviously 'the show' so I'll be doing that one primarily.

I can’t wait for your comparison, I have my gen blue dial waiting for zf. Do you think it would be better for a franken than the previous versions?

I think white could be a real sleeper

Can’t go wrong with a neutral color. It matches with almost all outfits.

I see some TD’s calling the color of the dial white. But it’s actually a silver dial correct?

I believe there’s variations of the movement. Puretime list it with an Asian 23J automatic movement decorated to VC 5100 movement, while other TD’s list it as Japanese Miyota 9015 Automatic Movement, modified with engraved & painted bridges and Rotor like Calibre 5100.

I plan on doing a mild tear down of the overseas when it arrives, so I can see if a gen dial can fit unmodified. I can’t stand shaving the gen dial to be thinner when installing a gen dial on the BP factory version, so I hope ZF is a simple plug and play.

I’ll post pics of the results.

The official term they use is “metal” which I think is more silver than white

I received my qc, I’ll post later but a little disappointed with the green lume and thickness of 11.7 (my BP was 11.1) but otherwise the watch looks like a massive improvement from other factories.
