Why not? You don't think it's a gen Miyota movement?

Actually this has been brought up as a possibility in general watch discussion, the AP section and over on rwg I believe. The cost for a gen 9015 is very low to start with, lower when a factory/maker buys in bulk. It may be just as easy to buy vs cost to make a clone movement of the 9015 is what I was gathering from reading the other threads I could find.

Maybe ask on of the TD offering this?

Aging will definitely correct the color issue. True CuSn8 bronze is always yellower than the picture shown of the "pinker" gen earlier in this thread. Through aging, and especially exposure to specific chemicals (liver of sulfur) you can achieve a redder color. See below:

This is what the Helberg CH6 looks like without patina:

Here is my Helberg CH6 with a natural patina:

This is a picture of someone else's with more of a red hue.. Same bronze, different patina:

ETA 2892 more reliable, the self-winding works both ways and you have less to wave his hands to the watch worked. And most importantly this movement is in the gen watch. Do you want buy a good copy or a cheap fake? ETA A2892 and Miyota the cost equally. The my choose ETA.

I believe it's simply a Sellita SW200 or 300.

Zenith purposely didn't put in a non in-house movement due to all the fuss about using one for the first time in the standard type 20. If they claim it's a 679 and actually use a Selita I imagine they would be facing a lot of unhappy customers and claims

Quote from the article I linked to:

So, in addition to the new bronze case (versus steel from the previous model), the 2015 Zenith Pilot Type 20 Extra Special is finally "special," meaning that it has a manufacture movement inside. That movement isn't an El Primero, but the still decent Zenith caliber 679 "Elite" automatic movement that operates at 4Hz and has a power reserve of 50 hours

Good to know. Yes, the original stainless release had a Sellita in it. Glad they have something in-house now to make the price a bit more realistic.
