Anyone know if the lume are good on these (2824 or 2892 version)?
I can't really tell from the pictures...just want to see if I need to send it for relume later.

The AR and lume IMHO look way better on his watch than the pictures I've seen posted of the Rep.
If I purchase this piece I will definitely be sending it off for reluming and clear double AR.

This is a niice watch, I'm new here and got here looking for a good repp of the Zenith Montre D'aeronef type 20 gmt with the big strap like this:

And I want to ask your advice, do you know the retailer where you get yours has this model?, how long did you take to get yours? is it an expensive repp?

I tried the Gen before getting the Rep. The AR is definitely better in the Gen, but to be honest unless you have them side by side, you won't notice it. The Rep has a very good feeling.

You are right. But with reps at this level I'm now only interested in brands/models that don't get repped very easily.

Totally agree, Gen has a dressed up 2892 and IMO it's not worth the 3.5k price tag. And I doubt you will meet anyone in the wild with a gen on the wrist, so I will go with the rep for sure.

Interestingly Toro offers 2 movements:Asian ETA 2824 or Asian ETA 2892 (for $20 more). But if there was a choice of Sellita SW300 movement which powers the GEN. that would be 1:1 rep as it gets.
BTW the bronze edition now has Zenith's in house caliber 679 "Elite" and no longer the ETA derivative.

Got mine too, the V6F one, the crystal and AR is definitely "blur-ish" compared to gen, even lose out to all the good reps that I have...

All that being said, I still like this watch very much with the simplicity of the watch design, large numeral dial, onion crown, watch lug... Beautiful watch!

I tried reading up on the 2892 but didn't come up with much other than it is 1mm thinner and perceived to be a more rugged movement. Anyone have an opinion on what the extra $ for this 2892 movement will get me? Better reliability? A more "heavy duty" movement?

Now since we're talking Asian clone movements here, the difference is basically a wash - neither is significantly better than the other, IMHO.
