Well, I guess amnesia is one of the side effects of alvedonTake a look at post #304 :flowers1:
My explanation is exactly aus boring as my nick indicates: "Jurist" ist the German term for my profession (lawyer). The first time I used this nick was at a time when I prepared for my so called first state exam in order to motivate myself- well, as much as you can be motivated when you're playing online poker instead of studying. Thank God, I was extremely lucky and the lack of preparation did not really matter![]()
Just curious, as a lawyer, how do you feel in general about copyright and trademark laws. Presumably being a member of this forum you don't believe in them much. I'm just really interested in a lawyers perspective on the counterfeit watch industry.

You want an honest answer? It depends. Every lawyer I know has his or her only feeling of justice and this is not neccessarily indentical to existing laws. Do I respect Copyright and Trademark laws? Yes, absolutely. Imagine a world without. What would be the Motivation to develop new technologies or pharmaceuticals? Do I consider the watch industry to be worth being protected under these laws? Yes, absolutely. Do I feel odd while violating those laws? No, since I do not violate them. In Germany wearing a counterfeit is not prohibited, but I do support those who violate the laws by buying reps. What does that tell about me? Nothing very special, I guess. Each and everyone of us has to answer the question about the morality of his or her doing. I don't feel ashamed wearing Reps. Would I argue those factories to death if one of my clients would instruct me to do this? Yes, of course. But as long as Richemond, Rolex, Swatch and co are none of my clients, I don't have a conflict of interest and carry on.
Wow, reading this I understand why attorneys have such an bad image![]()
Is it illegal to make counterfeit products in Germany? I don't think the issue is wearing the counterfeit. As far as I'm aware you can't be arrested for wearing a fake anywhere in the world. Surely the illegal act is making or knowingly buying the fake? Am I right thinking that? As a lawyer you probably know the answer, and I'm probably completely wrong!
Interesting how you can be a lawyer but support people who violate laws. Isn't that against your code of practice? I'm not trying to be argumentative, I just can't get my head around how your professional life and your hobby can co-exist. It's like a policeman doing robberies on the weekends! That would be so weird!

M4NUTD- I think it's obvious, right? It's not only the license plate on my car, but also a fairly well known symbol of what is, as anybody who knows me must accept, the true love of my life. The glorious Red Devils of Manchester United F.C., the biggest club on the planet. (and your next Premier League champions... #21)
Put that logo on it, and I'll own it. I'll tattoo it on myself. I'll buy stock so that I can vote against the bloodsucking fellow American "soccer" know-nothings who control it. I'll get up at 2am every single weekend in order to never miss a live game, fly 10,000 miles once a year to soak in the atmosphere of Old Trafford, whatever it takes. Red until I'm dead. (And perhaps afterwards, if I am completely mistaken regarding the metaphysical)
I am expecting my next Gen purchase to be a Tag Heuer due to a recently signed partnership. I don't particularly like Hublot, the Bulova Accuswiss Percheron is fugly as well, and I'm not a Tag fan either. And yet.... what a sucker, eh? The newest deal was just signed in the last month, and I haven't heard anything yet, but won't be surprised if/when I get the email from the club announcing some "special offer" knowing what a marketers dream I am. I fully expect it to be the ugliest Tag ever made, so that they make a perfect set.
Henrikh? I don't understand why we aren't using him more right now. From the few minutes he has played, he truly looks world class. And are you talking about Shinji? Great man, he is. Very loved. I don't know why we ever let him go, but then again, LVG was great at destroying players. Look what he did to diMaria.... a world beater who can be made to look like a rookie. We lost a lot of good ones because of the Dutch fool. Not sure I like "the special one", but at least the players will fight for him, until they fight against him... Hope to see you in Europe next year, and I agree, the atmosphere at your ground is jaw dropping. Far beyond what Old Trafford offers.
I'll be watching Dortmund when I can. I would love to attend a game there some time. The knockout rounds of Europe next year would be a perfect time.
Pretty sure you can change it. It+s not a tattooTime definitely changes things... No longer married to Sharon: divorced, thank God. My new wife hates that my name on everything is MySharona. The dreams of Winona Ryder have not stopped, however, but I think using that as a reason for my current wife not to hate my user name is an exercise in futility....
