That is a genuine story indeed. I especially love the part when you say "I can't tell anyone because this culture sounds insane to others and my wife thinks its ridiculous", because for the first time I've read from another member exactly how I feel. A general question to all... I found this site and a few others and signed up to all of them. I really don't have a particular favorite and browse them all. My question is do you guys do the same thing or do you stay loyal to one?

I will admit that this is not the first time a member has gone above and beyond. I got a JLC NSD from a member in Australia who enjoyed the process of getting it to me and ordered extra spring bars and threw in a strap he liked with the watch. Overall everyone here is so into this whole culture that there seems to be a common bond. I wish my friends were like this.
Lots of people are only here. I am sure there are people on other boards who are loyal to their boards.

Not that I was ever aware of. Why do you think that? By the way,the tone of your response is kind of what this thread may be about. Everyone on all of these forums are really helpful to each other. I get the sense that a lot of us belong to multiple forums but may prefer one over another based on comfort
Lol yeah this happens, enjoy your new toy! Congrats!!So out of nowhere a v 1.5 Superocean Heritage 46 shows up on RWI sales forum and no one notices. A rare holy grail for some of us. It is delivered in beautiful condition on a nice shark skin strap (thanks AskMeAgain).
Now the hunt for a rubber ocean racer rally band which completes the package. I search the forums high and low, inside and out. Even all of you angry members who scald new members for not searching would be proud. Any how....no luck.
I turn to rep geek, a new find for me. No posts, no identity and I go through the same search process so as not to embarrass myself knowing there are the "search it noob" patrols on every forum.
Then I hit an old M2M sale from March 2013. A franken SOH sold without the OR strap. I sheepishly PM'd this member to see if he had the strap available and then it happens......
He gave it to me! Free! He writes "consider it a gift". I know this sounds like a Christmas time puff piece on the local news, but seriously I feel that all of us rep collectors have the same sickness and at least we can all feel bad for each other. I just think this is the coolest thing but I can't tell any one because this culture sounds insane to disinterested people and my wife thinks it's ridiculous . Anyhow, buried in here is some kind of happy life lesson in a world full of selfish people.
