Most big Champagne brands are crap. Don perignon is 90% of marketing and maybe 10% quality, seriously. You can find much better wines at this price point or below. Billecart Blanc de Blanc is fantastic, i like Krug too, and for cheap alternatives you can't go wrong with Bollinger.
