Well my watch came in yesterday, but I had to go to work before i could check it out, ( I work night shift)

Then i checked the tracking on the movement.....Unable to deliver.....business was closed....will try to redeliver tomorrow...... WTF its a home address, instead of knocking on my door and letting me know, or even leaving me a pink slip, they take it back and if they wouldnt come to my door the first time why even try again.

Anyway i got down to the post office as soon as they opened and was able to intercept it before it was put back on the mail truck.

So i got my movement too.
But i didnt realize it didnt come with a stem, so imma have to order one.

Anyways the crown looks fantastic !
RSH must have the hands of a surgeon, to do that that fast and NOT ONE MARK on the watch !
And it screws down like perfection. Amazing !

Thanks again Bro !

SO im hoping to have a stem by the weekend so i can start on this bad boy, but you know.

I could have sworn i had a few ETA stems here but i cant seem to find them anywhere :(

Oh well i still havent gotten a decent clasp yet.

Well I got my stem in the mail from Ofrei and got the movement all squared away.
The date wheel had gotten dislodged during shipping but its cool now, and working properly.

I got the dial installed, and the hands too, using my JMB hand install tool (worked great !)

Dropped the movement in the case, plopped the movement ring in, and reinstalled the stem for alignment...........
but now i seem to have lost my movement clamps :( I know i had 3 extras from when i did the steelfish, but for the life of me.........

Jeeze-o-pete, what next ?

I just ordered a pack of 10 long ones, hope they get here soon.

I decided to wait till i get the movement clamped till i cut the stem to length, so i guess its all on hold again .....

Hahaha I'm in a similar boat to you. Waiting on replacement stems for my build.

For the YM, is the a DWO that you had to install?

No, actually, it was the movements actual datewheel that had somehow come out of the track partially.
It wasnt even visually obvious. The movement was binding as i was trying to set the time in the advance direction, then was free while rotating anti clockwise.

Careful examination revealed one of the datewheels teeth was trying to ride up over the cover .

My YM dial has a ETA datewindow location, so i do not have to use a DWO.
I hate installing those things.

At first i was a little hesitant about that, and was considering getting a TC YM dial (with the correct DW location).
But the color on my dial is really nice, and after casing, the location is really hard to notice under the cyclops. (at least to me)
Also if i went with th TC dial, id have to instal a DWO and also reposition the cyclops, which helped me dicide to go with the stock dial .

I was told the dial and hands had been relumed, but i think the dial has stock lume on it, so im probably gonna redo that at a later date when i get more time. Plus the only lume i got right now has a slightly greenish daylight tint to it. So ill have to get some proper lume.

The hands look and glow great as is.

Niceeee. Those are some long ones. You get they off the Bay?

Yeppers, off the Bay.
I figgured if i got the long ones, i could trim them to whatever size i needed.
I buzzed 2 of em down to about 3/4 length for the YM with a diamond sanding wheel.

Aint perfect but nice enough for me

Tried to take a flash pic of the dial but it doesnt do it justice really
The dial is just spectacular, gray and sparkely, and sometimes it has a pinkinsh tint to it, in some lighting.

It has the ETA date window location, but its kinda hidden by the cyclops, so that isnt bothering me.
The rehaut is a little wokky, but some of the pics ive seen of gen YMs also appear the same way.

Ive got the Tissot 2836 i got from Adrian in there and so far its been running spot on for time (about a week)

The TC crown that RSH gave me is a thing of beauty and screws down perfectly.

The clasp that came with the watch fell apart, the link that attached to the bracelet was damaged when i got it. Its a shame because i really liked that clasp.
So i got one of Kens YM clasps, but in not really diggin the coronet on it

, so ive got a GMT Master II milled clasp on its way from Helenarou.

When it comes to clamps, size matters. You made a good call [emoji106]

If worse comes to worst, you can try to swap latches on the clasps? Excited to see the new clasp that arrives. How do you like the YM? Would you recommend it as a solid purchase?

No can do. the fliplock is a little longer on the new clasp, plus the new clasp is a smigde wider than the old one so i cant swap all of the components over either, the old cover wont fit over the hinges.

I absolutely love this watch, ive wanted one for quite a while.
With all the mirror surfaces, it sure is a looker.

But would i recommend it?
Most of the ones out there now have issues with the dial color.
I got lucky, mine is good, but the dial lume sucks.

But i have no idea where mine came from so i wouldnt be able to point someone in the right direction.

Id say if you can find a decent one, go for it !
