That is one huge assumption you're making..
It's the same factory that makes the SA3135 YM and Sub. It is the same dial and case as the SA135 YM--which is excellent. Perhaps not as good as the WM9 or TC case and dial, but many times better than the noob, TW Best and cartel versions. The dial has great sparkle to it and they got the color right finally. The texture is almost there too. Not far off from the WM9 and TC, making it not far off from gen.
The bezel isn't quite gen like, but it looks very good (hard to replicate a platinum bezel). It has a bi-directional click turn and it feels really nice... just like the real thing.
Even the bracelet is pretty decent on this watch with all the correct markings. The only part of this watch that lets it down is the clasp. It had some sharp edges and is a little lighter weight than gen. I filed down the sharp edges and smoothed it out with some wet/dry and it's really not bad at all. It's not close to gen, but it it's it looks the part when it's on your wrist.
Honestly, I had my Sead YM side by side with one of my partners' gen YM at a meeting and I thought it was pretty darn convincing. I would say its around 90% accurate which is excellent for such a tough gen to rep correctly.
Mechanically speaking, this may be the best performing watch in my rep collection. The clone movement seems to be a lot smoother than in my other watches. When I get back home after my Hurricane Sandy eviction, I am going to have to take the caseback off to confirm that it's rep and not a swiss that was sent to me by mistake--it's really that good. It winds smoother than my gen Tag (which has the same movement) and the power reserve is incredible. On a full wind it's good for 50+ hours--which is much longer than any of my other clone or gen 2824/36 watches. It is also keeping awesome time--gains 2.5 seconds per day without regulation.
For $158.00 you really can't go wrong. If you want a YM and don't want to spend TC or BK money, this is the one to get!
