Yacht-master jf v2 crappy crystal, need help

Hello everyone

I need some help, just received my Yacht-Master JF V2 with a blue dial form Pure-Time. Lovely watch!
But... The crystal is not a Scratch-proof sapphire crystal as it's announced! :sad: Paying $348 for a watch that has a mineral crystal feels like a rip-of.
Yesterday i managed to get some small scratches without even noticing, was quite surprised when i discovered it.
Never had this problem with my other reps.
Tried to polish the crystal, but with little success..

Should i take this up with the TD, or just bite the grass and order a Clark crystal?

If i'm to change crystal can someone give me a quick walk-through on how to remove crystal, does anyone know if the bazel has the same build as the sub's or is the bezel held together with a "string"??
(I fuc.. up a GMT bezel that did not have the gen build :blush

I have a crystal press so i have the right tool to get the job done. Hope someone out there has cahnged crystal on a JF V2 and can help me.

One can see the scratch just over the crown logo. Not the best photo, but hard to get the scratch on film.

Yes, i made it.
Had a crystal at home, and it's now mounted in the YM.
Dial realy pops with this new crystal, shows that the original crystal installed is of poor quality.
Will post a walk-through with pictures tomorrow.

I feel like a watch smith right now, geting the hang of this hobby.

I love this watch.The only thing that bothers me is the bezel.

In the pictures and videos it looks like cheap metal with bad finish.

And the Gen Platinum Bezel is just gorgeous.

But i have to say that this dial is pretty good...

Could you tell me if the bezel looks better in person?

I was also sceptical to the look of the bezel before i purchased, but as i discovered it is oil and dirt on the insert from factory that make them look that way.
Had to give mine a good bath with soap and a toothbrush. And i think it turned out all ok.
But Gen is Gen ...

Well the one on my watch was not sapphire.
Think they have made some mix-up and used a wrong on.
It was very easy to put scratches on the crystal, and my other rep's was not afflicted when it tested.

JF makes the crappiest quality Rolexes. I doubt they're using real sapphire.

Sorry to say but I call BS on that!
Their Daytonas are sick and they've been the first fac that got the blue in the Yachtie correct.

And they DO use sapphire. I've tested it..

So the dial is finally gen-like? What about th crownguards? Any expert on this?

The dial is said to be closer. Don't know about the crownguards yet as I haven't recieved QC pics of the New version.

Thanks... I wonder when they'll fix the date font.. I can stand incorrect crownguards but the datefont always bothers me...
