Great post donald; I always admire your pictures and your eloquent posts, and you have opened my eyes to the YM when before I thought it a little over-the-top for my tastes.

Good to have you around

Donald is adding to this forum by introducing topics which instigate debate and participation. I applaud him for that.
And I don't know when it became taboo to mention Fakey around here. Or to be a big fan of his, for that matter. The guy has plenty.

LMR; you always manage to say what I'm thinking in a far more succinct and diplomatic way than I could ever muster. RWI is a richer place for your level-headedness.

Thanks TLOB. This thread has been up for about two days now and I think we can conclude two things so far:

1. If you want a YM that is close enough to the gen to pass a close examination you have only one choice to date; the Bklm/WM9 YM. Two people have attested to that from personal experience. As expensive as that YM may be, it is a good value and, at this point, the only game in town.

2. No one yet has been able to post a dealer who can deliver a YM dial equal (or nearly so) to the Bklm/WM9 dial. I had hoped Spirit's find would yield such a source. Since it is the dial that "makes the watch" in the case of the YM, that means we really only have one good choice. Others will work but they will be less.

Hopefully, whatever supplier made those dials for WM9 will also produce more of them for other rep builders. No reason they couldn't do so. Then we can have that "special look" for far less money. I figure in about two more days this thread will be off the "radar" and if no one has been able to identify an equivalent dial for less, no one will do so because no one will be even reading the thread anymore. I will keep checking this thread for a few days to see if anyone is able to post and recommend a dealer/YM from personal experience; but hope is fading day by day. We better all get one of those Bklm/WM9 YMs while we still can! [Now I suppose someone is going to claim I am just "advertising" for Bklm!] It seems WM9 makes limited runs and we don't know when this run of parts will run out.
