Are you just trusting that the dial is genuine, hands are genuine etc. Or were you sent a photo of the numbers/digits on the reverse side of the gen dial please?

I felt extremely rude pointing out what I thought I saw about the winding crown. - I told someone off for circling something with a paint tool just last week! :O Sorry about that. I can't believe you builder didn't disclose this info to you. I don't rate his builds. But that gen dial is stonkingly beautiful for sure.

McDuck no need to apologize. You were just pointing out in good faith to me. I knew I was buying a new clean base DJ41 but with used Gen Parts. A new crown is 400 to 500usd, I paid a fraction of that.

It's a hobby we like alot and it's about happy sharing.

In hindsight, if I knew Gen crown doesn't work well with clean case. I would had stuck with a clean crown. Now I'm just waiting to see if Patrick can make it any better

I think he knew about it and sent me this picture in QC. I think he hopes that I don't pick up on it or don't RL it.

But at least he did send me this picture (so he is not hiding anything), which shows clearly there is a mark on the crown. I'm a easy person just want the watch in my hand. Sadly it's is going back, bum. Need to learn to be patience.

He sent me a picture and a video of the parts (two pictures I screenshot from the video)

Are they genuine? I kind of have faith in rwi, some member will grill this thread if they spot something not right . Am I too ignorant . 2nd, I thought Patrick is a trusted dealer and he would never jeopardize his status. (Just my way of thinking) Guys don't take my word please . I still have a lot of trust in human being, God say we have to be a good person every day.

I'm thrilled you got extra pics. That's fantastic.
(A gen crown new or used doesn't cost as much as you quote. I don't think there's an excuse for using a lowsy crown that's out of shape and doesnt even fit the case tube. But its awesome that this is no trouble for you to have it fixed up and lovely. Thanks for writing so beautifully to me.)
