This thread makes me wish I could just order a replica car online and be set. Currently saving up for my second car (current is a *cough* 1995 Saturn SL1 5 speed) and I thought over 5 grand was crazy. Was planning on getting a Miata, but that Mazda badge wouldn't make for a good steering wheel photo paired with a rollie. Maybe I'll just take a leap of faith and get an early 2000's Audi TT, slap an aftermarket front bumper on it to make it look more modern (gotta have that big grill), get a flat bottom steering wheel, and barely keep it running with that crazy maintenance cost. Worth it for those shiny 4 rings though

Nah, when i was looking for car i had same kinda notion but a friend of mine who works for bell audi in NJ, said that 70%of his dealership revenue is from repairs. [emoji15] [emoji15]. That really discouraged me from a used audi. I looked at lexus es/gs which were great cars but felt kind soulless. Then i tried the infiniti g35x which was 4years older then the lexus cars and i made a deal for it on spot. 5years later i still smile like a kid when the nav display rolls out of dashboard. When driving the roar is like peterbilt i used to drive as trucker. I can tell the rpm of the car from the roar another thing that makes me smile. I swear this damn car talks to me when i am driving alone. I have a 9 years newer car then this infiniti which i drive to work so i don't put more miles on my g. So just keep looking you may find the one for you, then hold her close and never abuse her :).

On the topic here's steering wheel shot with my rep g shock which takes the beating of working in rough place like a champ.
